Evening by the river. Two shores

By the Vologda River, people concentrate mainly in the Kremlin area, but residents also like to walk on the opposite bank. It's a pity there aren't many bridges in Vologda. It especially bothers me that you can't directly walk along the embankment near the Oktyabrsky Bridge.

I usually wait for summer or winter – then I can walk under the bridge when the water subsides or freezes.

For some reason, there is an increased importance of images on the reportage wave.

It seems to me that I have to capture everything around me and it will come in handy sometime.

There is no such thing on other creative waves (or frequencies).

Sometimes it feels like I'm photographing unnecessary nonsense and I don't like my own pictures.

It's just the effect of different frequencies or waves that I'm connected to at a given time.

When the frequency swings from side to side like this, then the only confirmation or criterion for evaluating photos will be third-party sources.

It's good to have some kind of teacher who has worldwide confirmation. He will always tell you what is good and what is bad.

It's also good if the news agency has a bill editor who has extensive experience evaluating images when they are published.

And, of course, the demand: requests for printing, publications, exhibitions, requests for the creation of certain shots, filming.

I like to film the simple, ordinary life of the city.

I have already learned the paradox when an ordinary thing that is boring and does not steal attention becomes just a treasure after a few years.

And in decades, it will generally become a reflection of the era.

I also thought about the color of old photos and the perception of the past.

Maybe it's just me, but when I imagine some 70s, 80s, then automatically the colors of the images become the same as in the old photos, yellowish, faded or even black and white.

And then I tried to imagine that everything was exactly the same as it is now.

The sky, the grass, the water are all exactly the same! Only the cars are different and the clothes are different.

And it broke my brain a little bit.

It turns out that in ancient times everything looked the same, only there weren't so many houses and trees.

What if the colors of digital cameras will be even more realistic in the future, and those that are now will go retro?

After all, we don't see the way the camera transmits anyway.

Sometimes it's even better, but not always.

Most of the time, you have to slightly adjust the image to make it realistic.

It's a pity that many people twist it...
