Dugouts in Krasny Bor

The village of Krasny Bor is located in the Totemsky district of the Vologda region on the Vozhbal River. There is a cellar town with a large number of dugouts. I've marked this place on the map for a long time, but the distance from Vologda is too far to drive here specifically at night. Therefore, I arrived in the afternoon (in the evening) and not on purpose, but on the way.

If arrived at night, there would be no artificial light – there are no lanterns nearby.

There may be some light coming from a nearby sawmill, but there are doubts.

The soft evening light created a generally good scene.

But this is still not the world in which I photograph dugouts.

Again, the place called Krasny Bor is quite remote and semi-abandoned.

And there are creepy feelings in such places...

I don't even know yet if I'll come here at night sometime.

Perhaps when all the places with cellars are over and I want new extreme sensations, I will decide to visit again.

This is not the first place with dugouts that I captured during daylight hours and in the other atmosphere.

And once again, I realize that this is not what I need at all.

The pictures can be very beautiful, but they don't have the mystique I'm after.

When photographing dugouts, the inner world will always come first, and only then the quality and attractiveness of the image.
