A Single Step, A Thousand Miles: The Evolution of a Drawing

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This proverb feels particularly apt as I share my latest artwork. It began with a simple sketch, a small, peculiar vase (see inset). From that initial step, the drawing began to evolve, much like a journey unfolding.

The vase grew, becoming larger and more intricate. Then came the human figure, adorned with flowers, a symbol of growth and beauty emerging from the initial form. The surreal sphere with lips added another layer of mystery, a step into the unexpected. Each element, each addition, was a step in this creative journey, building upon the last.

This piece is a testament to the power of starting small and allowing the creative process to guide you. Just as a journey unfolds mile by mile, this drawing unfolded line by line, detail by detail.
