I might not be able to vote this coming national election because of some registration technicality
A few months ago we went to the municipal town government and my aim was to re-activate my voter's registration because I failed to vote at the last two consecutive national elections. If that happens the voter will not be able to vote in the next election, so the voter must go to their corresponding election officer in their municipality or city and fill-up a particular necessary form for re-activation of their voting rights.
I told this to the election officer of our town government but apparently my registration got doubled. It is because I just recently checked my precinct number (the place where I will go to vote) and it showed that the person with the same entry i.e. name and all is registered and then it didn't showed my precinct number unlike before when there is no problem about it when I was still eligible to vote.
Now it will depend to the election officers I guess if I will be listed in our vote precinct here in our Barrio and I just hope that I can be able to vote regardless of this issue where it seems that I got registered double plus I hope that I won't get into trouble as well because according to the prompt of the voter's precinct checker, my name have to registrations.
However, from my last registration, they had given me this slip where my name and precinct number is indicated. I have yet to see the result of it come the election day. My vote is important for me because we can get to request for financial assistance if the Mayoralty candidate which we wanted to win would get the seat. It is because with this current mayor we couldn't get any because of her politicking and we are not the only one because those that not had voted the current mayor is just prevented to get her support and this had frustrated if not angered lots of her constituents because it is an ugly practice to say the least.
I also hope that my registration wasn't deliberately messed-up with because the ruling politicians in our town knows who votes for whom and whose voter is affiliated to which candidate. It is quite scary really because depending on the politician, they can regard you either as a foe or something to be snobbed when you ask for assistance if you happen to vote for the supposedly wrong politician, the one that lost.
There will be voting for the office of the mayor and it is quite exciting to see who will win this time around because many people of our town has a resentment over the current town government officials and they are hoping for a change.
