The Haunted Village

In a remote mountainous region, there was a village shrouded in mystery. It was said that the village had been abandoned for centuries after a terrible curse. One day, a curious traveler named Chen decided to explore the village.

As Chen entered the village, he noticed that everything was eerily silent. The houses were dilapidated, and the streets were overgrown with weeds. Suddenly, he heard a faint sound coming from one of the houses. He cautiously approached and peered inside.

To his horror, he saw a group of people sitting around a table, their faces pale and lifeless. They were dressed in ancient clothing, and their eyes were hollow. As Chen watched, one of the figures turned its head and looked straight at him. It opened its mouth and said in a raspy voice, "You should not have come here."

Chen froze in fear. The figure slowly stood up and began to approach him. He turned to run but found that his legs would not move. The figure reached out its hand, and Chen felt a cold touch on his shoulder. He let out a scream and fell to the ground.

When Chen finally gathered the courage to look up, he found that the figure had vanished. The entire village was once again silent and empty. But he could still feel the chill of the figure's touch on his shoulder, a reminder of the haunted village and the curse that lingered there.
