A galaxy is a combination of gas, dust, billions of stars and their planets, asteroids, dark matter, which are related to each other in a certain way due to the gravitational ball.
They revolve around a vast center of mass in the center of the galaxy. A galaxy can contain hundreds of billions to billions of stars, depending on its size and structure.

The word #galaxy originates from the Greek word "Galaxius". Translated, it stands for "like milk."

According to Greek mythology, Zeus wanted to bring his newborn son Heraclius (better known as Hercules. He was born in the womb of a human woman) to heaven to breastfeed his sleeping wife Hera, but Heraclius woke up to find her drinking The boy is sucking her! She then pushed the boy away and then some milk fell down.

Then our galaxy is born, which we now call the "Milky Way." And that's why it looks white in the sky!

In the past, galaxies only meant our Milky Way, because at that time no one was looking for an outer galaxy. But now galaxies are common names, and different galaxies have been given different names.

The following illustration by "Peter Paul Rubens" depicts the myth of the origin of the Milky Way and is titled:

The Origin of the Milky Way.
