My daughter has been studying in the school theater for three years. This season, the young actors decided to stage a play based on the fabulous philosophical novel by the German writer James Crews "Tim Thaler, or Sold Laughter" (German: Timm Thaler oder Das verkaufte Lachen, 1962)
Last Wednesday, this week, the play made its debut. One of her fans gave my daughter a bouquet.
The problem is that on Tuesday, my daughter started showing signs of a cold. She started coughing, had a runny nose, and her voice became hoarse. In the performance, children sing a lot, jump, dance, and make loud phrases. What about the voice? She went to the hospital on Thursday and was given an exemption from school until Tuesday. But yesterday, on Saturday, there was a new screening of the play at the regional festival of children's theaters.
I forgot to mention that on Wednesday, one girl fell unsuccessfully and was taken to the emergency room after the performance. She was diagnosed with a sprained ankle.
Who says that theater is not a dangerous hobby?
Next Saturday, the boys will go with the play to some city, but the daughter does not yet know which one.
