Postcards from an island in the middle of the Caribbean

An island in the middle of the Caribbean. An eternal midday sun. With inhabitants walking in all directions. With lives of their own slipping into a sort of pink movie life. The sky is all blue with clouds painted against the light. Palm trees are seen. Cobblestones. Asphalt. It is Las Tunas, this port in a latitude unknown to many. In what lands of this kingdom do I find them?

We have lots of greenery and sun and columns. Simple people wandering in all directions to earn their bread. But they are friendly and warm. Willing to serve you. They are the colors of the sky, one suspects from the sea. They are intense, spectacular all year round.

This all-blue building is the provincial museum. In its race against oblivion. It exhibits stories close to the autochthonous. They are glimpses of roots and origins. Coins, tools, animals and unique stories, all meticulously orchestrated. All meticulously orchestrated. Would you like to visit it sometime?

The old boulevard. With lots of cafes and spaces to chat.

We could not miss the Vicente Garcia Park, an emblematic place where people from many latitudes, artists, passers-by, and all those who pass through the tunas and want to enjoy the views or just have a drink or a beer.

Nice pictures, but you had me thinking Las Tunas was an island. I had to look it up, a city in Cuba. Of course, that was rather dumb of me I should have caught on when there are no Coca Cola signs, plus of course you did say provincial, that should have been enough to know it is not an island.

Nice pictures. I like the blue building mostly. It looks so nice and it is different from the rest!
