Proposal Progress: Generated Two Blocks in a Row on Ubuntu20.04 (WSL)
Thanks for all the supporters for Proposal: Fixing Steemd Build Dependencies in the Latest OS
Progress Update
Testing passed with latest block heights and generated 2 blocks in a row. I'll clean this up a bit and create a small PR first. otherwise there will be a huge more changes later.
ubuntu20.04 is still old... The final targets are ubuntu22.04, ubuntu24 and azurelinux actually. But since I've fixed many many C++ issues after upgrading the Boost, hopefullly there won't be much more to address. I'll also taken this chance to fix the submodules and tests.

Wow, @justyy, this is fantastic progress! Seeing the work you're doing to update Steemd's build dependencies for the latest OS versions, especially Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04, and Azure Linux, is incredibly valuable for the Steem blockchain's future.
The testing progress you shared, generating two blocks in a row, is a testament to your dedication. Addressing the C++ issues and taking the opportunity to fix submodules and tests is exactly the kind of maintenance that ensures long-term stability and efficiency.
Thank you for your hard work and for keeping the community updated. I look forward to seeing the PR and the continued improvements you bring to the platform! Let's keep Steem moving to the moon! 🚀🌕
