Bireuen Regent Inaugurates IMKB Banda Aceh Management.
Dozens of administrators of the Bireuen Regency Family Community Association (IMKB) for the 2025-2028 period were inaugurated by Bireuen Regent H Mukhlis ST which took place at Anjong Mon Mata, Saturday (14/6/2025) evening.
Bireuen Regent, H Mukhlis ST in his speech said that this inauguration and confirmation was not just a formality, but a momentum for the revival and consolidation of the strength of the Bireuen community abroad, as well as in their hometown.
"We all have a moral and social responsibility to build cross-sector synergy, both in education, economy, social, culture, and empowerment of the younger generation," he said.
H Mukhlis hopes that IMKB can be a forum to bridge the migrant community and the Bireuen Regency Government, so that they can always collaborate in real terms to support development programs, as well as participate in promoting regional potential and maintaining cultural values and local wisdom.
"I invite everyone to maintain the spirit of kinship and social concern. Wherever we are, our identity as Bireuen people must be a source of pride, as well as motivation to make a real contribution to the progress of our homeland," he said.
The IMKB administrators who were inaugurated and confirmed were the result of the VIII General Meeting (Mubes) held on April 19, 2025.
The General Chairperson of IMKB, Drs Amiruddin Cut Hasan, M.Si in his remarks after being inaugurated said that the Bireuen Regency Government should be able to help and facilitate a halfway house for residents of Bireuen who seek treatment at the Zainoel Abidin Regional Hospital.
"We hope that in the future the Regent will support our steps, especially by helping with one ambulance unit to facilitate the smooth treatment of Bireuen residents in Banda Aceh," he said.
The Bireuen Regency Government must increasingly focus on developing the people's economic potential, both in the agricultural, plantation, fisheries, livestock and trade sectors in order to drive the community's economy and improve road facilities to the tomb of Habib Bugak, to make it easier for residents who want to make a pilgrimage to the tomb of this great cleric, said Amiruddin.
Amiruddin emphasized that IMKB as one of the associations that accommodates the wider community, is clearly and firmly not allowed to be seen in practical politics. In addition, to all residents from Bireuen Regency who are now domiciled in Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh, to be willing to join this community.
Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh, Muhammad Nasir SIP MPA who was present representing Governor Muzakkir Manaf, on that occasion admitted that he was proud of the harmony and solidarity of the Bireuen community in the diaspora.
As a native son of Bireuen Regency born in Matang Glumpang Dua, he is confident that with H Mukhlis' ability to lead the regional government, of course the Bireuen region will progress rapidly in the future.
"I am optimistic that H Mukhlis has a big target, to build and advance Bireuen Regency which has extraordinary potential, both in terms of geographical location and economic resources," said Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh Province.
The inauguration was attended by DPD-RI Member Darwati A Gani, Deputy Speaker of Aceh DPR, Kajari Bireuen, Deputy Speaker of Bireuen DPRK, Bireuen community leaders, religious leaders, community, youth organizations, Bireuen students in Banda Aceh.
