Bireuen Police Hold Friday Curhat in Kota Juang District, Police Chief Hears Directly Various Social and Security Issues from the Community.
Bireuen Police Resort (Polres) held a Friday Curahan Hari (Curhat) activity with Bireuen community leaders, Friday, 6/20/2025, the activity took place at the Rumoh Tuha Café, Kota Juang District, Bireuen.
The activity in order to strengthen relations between the police and the community was also attended by the Head of the Bireuen Police Resort (Kapolres) AKBP Tuschad Cipta Herdani SIK MMed Kom, community leaders and administrators of the Grand Mosque as well as the Head of BKPRMI Bireuen, Tgk Musbani and others.
The friendly gathering event as well as a forum to hear directly various social and security issues from the community was attended by a number of main officials of the Bireuen Police, Police Chiefs from various sub-districts.
In his speech, the Bireuen Police Chief said that the Friday Curhat activity was part of a program to build two-way communication between the Police and the community. The main goal is to absorb aspirations, receive input, and find joint solutions to problems that occur among residents.
"We want to hear directly from the community what are the problems in our jurisdiction. Not all problems can be solved by the police alone, therefore synergy with the community and across sectors is very important," said the Police Chief.
Former Village Head (Keuchik) of Bandar Bireuen, Adnan Adam in the meeting conveyed the rampant vagrants and beggars (gepeng) that are increasingly visible in the city center, as well as the atmosphere of Bireuen city which has begun to be quiet with economic and social activities in recent times.
Meanwhile, Dr. Tgk Musbani MA as the Head of BKPRMI Bireuen conveyed the spirit of mutual cooperation in the village (gampong) which is starting to fade, the neighborhood roads are not maintained and wild grass spreads to the roadside. He hopes that the Police can be a motor of education to revive the spirit of togetherness of the residents.
Tgk M Nazir Muhammad, Head of BKM Al-Amin Pulo Ara Mosque, said that Bireuen as a city of santri and a city of struggle should be an example in terms of order and security. He hopes that the Police can work together with schools and the Aceh Education Office to ensure that students return home on time and avoid negative influences.
Responding to all input, the Bireuen Police Chief said that his party will coordinate with related agencies to address the problems of begging, mutual cooperation, and order in the community.
He is also committed to following up on criminal cases such as snatching that have disturbed residents. "Everything that was conveyed today will be accommodated, we will note it down, and we will 'cross-check' it in the field. We will also involve the Bireuen Ulema Consultative Assembly (MPU) to jointly visit the sub-districts in a monthly program to foster the community from a spiritual and social perspective," he said.
Friday Curhat, he said, will be a routine agenda held periodically, the Bireuen Police will also involve more elements of society and related parties in the next activity, as a form of commitment to maintaining security and order together.
Through activities like this, the Bireuen Police hope to create trust and emotional closeness between the police and the community. Strong synergy is the key to creating a safe, orderly and prosperous environment.
Before the meeting, the Police Chief and his entourage including the Bhayangkari management visited the extended family of the deceased Polri and also the homes of retired members of the Bireuen Police extended family, including the house of the late Aipda Hermansyah Lubis, the house of the late Iptu Zainuddin.
Then the house of AKP (Ret.) Rajali Hasan and the residence of Kompol (Ret.) Marzuki Usman. During the visit, the Police Chief handed over compensation and gifts to the wife and children of the deceased as a form of respect and friendship.
