Summer storm

 

• Marie...

Marie was an older child in a family, she lived with her parents on a small farm, it was their own farm with some cattle for her the animals on farm were also their friends. That is why first thing in the morning when she was awake, she run to the shed to check if the animals were well and if there were some fresh eggs over night. She helped her parents with household as she knew that parents have a lot of work on field, with animals and also she was there to help out with her little sister Dasha

• Dasha…
  Dasha, who was already 3 years old and was very good little girl, she did everything that her older sister told her and tried to do everything that her parents and her sister did. Often she was telling that she is big enough and wanted to do something on her own, parents always allowed her to try her strength but they were there just in case they needed to help.
  Parents of Marie and Dasha were very proud of their children and they always told that to them, it was important in their family to show their love and support but also to make sure that the children have everything they need to learn but also to learnt o be responsible, to take care of themselves and to help out each other where it is needed.

• Storm…

One day both children were sent to nearest town as it was Sunday and usually they visit the market and buy some food that they don not produce themselves on farm. It was a lot of fun for Marie and Dasha as they felt themselves like adults, they had a list what they had to buy and also their mother allowed them to buy some sweet treat and to visit toy shop. This time they were attracted by the street entertainers and completely forgot about time. Once they saw that many shop owners were closing down then they noticed that it is starting to become late and they had to go back home. Marie decided to take a shortcut through fields, she heard about it from her mother. Dasha was happy for that as she never had been there, so she was hiding herself in high grass, running forth and waiting there, but also was climbing on rocks and jumping down. One moment when she jumped again, she twisted her ankle and that terrible hurt so that she was not able to step on that foot. She started to cry, Marie looked at the ankle and knew that there was something wrong and her little sister will not be able to walk further so she took her piggyback and carry towards home.

The time went but they were still surrounded by field, it is now started to get darker and gust of wind became stronger. The children looked at sky, although in front of them it was still some blue sky but there were more dark and heavy clouds carrying rain.

The girls were scared and tried to hurry up, the little one asked:

• “How far it is till our home?”

• “we are almost there”, answered Marie but in reality she did not know where they are, the only what she knew is that storm was approaching and they better to hurry up.
