Art and Writing Contest #147: Christmas presents
Hello my dear Steemians,
Today I wanted to write for this contest that is running by @solperez, here is the link if you are also interested:
Mr and Mrs Claude were doing this job for a long time, they were collecting the old unused stuff from people and when they were lucky the stuff was sold and they had some money.
People got used to put outside of their house old stuff that is why Mr and Mrs Claude did their rounds few times a day, staring in the morning, then around lunch and last time in the evening. In between they had time for their children, they had daughter and a son in age of 4 and 6, they knew how much their parents have to work to be able to have one warm meal a day and some milk with bread. The children were helping at home with cleaning and tidying up. Their parents always encouraged them to be good in school so that they can achieve something better then they and also to be able to have better job in their future.
But in meantime it was the hard reality and they had to continue their hard work. The worse time was winter, sometimes it was very cold and Mr and Mrs Claude did not have warm clothes, they had to hurry up so that they do not have any cold and get ill with it.
It is now the week before Christmas and they also hope to get more unused stuff to collect and in better condition so that they could buy something for their children for Christmas. They did not even hope to get more money and effort something much but at least if they prepare nice food with Turkey and some sweets so that the children feel like a holiday. After their evening round they got two rags that were in very good condition, they decided to leave one for them to have a small present for family and to sell other to get some money for festive meal. At least it was a good end of this year.

Work always dignifies and for sure the children of this character will be a good man and a good woman because of the values that their parents are instilling in them, who sacrifice for them to go to school and enjoy a dignified and promising future.

I often witness that the children of those who have little appreciate that little much more than the children of rich people.

Sin embargo, ellos les están inculcando a sus hijos pequeños que el trabajo dignifica. Así que no debe importar si en algún momento nos toca realizar un "trabajo duro" como el que realizan estas personas. Lo importante es garantizarle a nuestra familia un techo, los alimentos, y sobre todo una buena educación.

Thank you @solperez for reading my post and I am pleased to know that you like my story. I just imagined myself in teh place of those people and these is what I would be doing, to encourage children but also to do eveyhting to keep my family happy. It is important to have harmony in family and help each other only this way we can reach our goals.
