Inspired by faith

Well, I must say "Inspired by Faith" is indeed a very powerful theme that touches on our spirit's ability to find strength and purpose through belief, hence we are discussing different categories of songs that help us believe and build our faith. This is not just about religion, but about that deep-down feeling that something bigger than ourselves is guiding us, and that there is a reason for our existence.
Just like we are climbing a mountain, as tough as it may be, where we might even be tired, and wanting to give up. But then we just remember that someone we love is waiting for us at the top. Then, all of a sudden we get the energy to keep going, even when it's hard. This is just how faith works, it gives us the strength to keep going even when things are tough. Faith tends to inspire us in many ways, such as:
It gives us hope:
When life gets hard, faith reminds us that things will get better. It's like having a friend who always believes in you, even when you doubt yourself.
It motivates us to be better:
It pushes us to be kind, generous, and compassionate. It's like having a set of guiding principles that help us make good choices.
It connects us to something bigger:
It helps us feel part of something larger than ourselves, something that gives our lives meaning and purpose.
Faith isn't just about following rules but about finding a connection to something that gives us hope, strength, and purpose. Which can be a source of inspiration that helps us overcome challenges and live a more fulfilling life. In this light, here are my picks:
"Amazing Grace" by John Newton:

"How Great Thou Art" by Stuart K. Hine:

This one just makes me feel small, but then, in a good way as it is about how powerful God is, and how much bigger He is than anything we can imagine. It comes with an epic melody, like a grand symphony, and the words just make me feel humble and grateful, reminding me that there is something much bigger than ourselves, and that is something to be thankful for.
"The Old Rugged Cross" by George Bennard:

This song is so popular that almost everyone can sing it, even though not words for words. I grew up listening to this virtually every morning and it is all about sacrifice. It is about how Jesus dies on the cross for you and me, and how much He loves us. Although the song seems to be a little sad for me, but then, it is so full of hope, because it shows that even in the darkest times, there is still love and light.
"On Eagle's Wings" by Michael Joncas:

This song is so beautiful, and it is about God carrying us through life, just like an eagle carries its young eaglets. It is a song telling us to trust and surrender ourselves to God, so it makes me feel safe and protected.
"His Eye Is On The Sparrow" by Civilla D. Martin:

This is a song of comfort and hope, telling us about how we should have in mind that God is always watching over us, even when we are going through tough times. The melody is so gentle and reassuring, more like a warm blanket on a cold night, as it always reminds me that I'm not alone, and that God is always with me.
"You Say" by Lauren Daigle:

Last but not the least, my favourite on this list is "You Say" by Lauren Daigle. This is more than just a song to me, it is a balm for my soul as it serves as a gentle reminder that even when we feel lost and uncertain, there's a constant, unwavering love that surrounds us.
The melody itself is simple but yet powerful, like a warm embrace, comforting and reassuring us. The way Lauren Daigle sings it, with such vulnerability and sincerity, makes me feel like she's speaking directly to me. It's as if she's whispering those words of hope and reassurance right into my ears.
What truly inspires me about the song is its message, as it is about us finding peace and strength in the midst of our doubts and fear. It is about us trusting that even when life throws curveballs at us, there is always a bigger plan, a bigger purpose, as it reminds us that we are loved, unconditionally and eternally.
The lyrics are what truly inspires and resonates with me. Hearing lyrics like "You say I am loved when I feel nothing but shame" and "You say I am strong when I feel weak and small" speaks volumes to the human experience, acknowledging the struggles we face everyday, but then offer a comforting truth that we are loved, we are strong, and we are worthy, even when we feel the opposite.
This song has become a personal anthem for me, a source of comfort and strength during difficult times, as it reminds me to focus on the good, to trust in the unseen, and to hold onto hope even when it feels like everything is falling apart.
"You Say" is a song that transcends genre and personal beliefs. It's a universal message of hope, love, and resilience, and that's what makes it so special to me.
