Create a .gitignore for the project.

This repo is missing a .gitignore at at least one junk file is included currently. This patch simply removes the file and adds an entry for .gitignore.

Please also note that development is for serious and major patches, bug fixes, and new features. Adding a .gitignore likely will not qualify in this category.
