I'd like to introduce travel loving people to a new tourist attraction today through Steem-Atlas which is the Bashbaria Ferry terminal Beach. I recently visited this spot and found it to be one of the clam places to spend a beautiful afternoon. With the sea on one side and the ferry ghat on the other, this place is constantly being developed to give visitors a unique travel experience. The ferry ghat was inaugurated just this April.

It is located in the Bashbaria area of Sitakunda Upazila, about 24 kilometers north of Chittagong city. It was not established as a tourist center. Rather, it was built as a ferry terminal for people from Sandwip, an isolated island, to Chittagong. People from Sandwip use this ferry terminal to enter Chittagong across the Bay of Bengal. The terminal is accessible from the city via any public transportation.

The last part of the ferry terminal is entirely a beach area, and tourists mainly come here to enjoy the beach environment. Except for a specific area built by the army for the ferry operations, the rest of the beach is open to everyone. There is no ticket or fee required to enter the beach. Only those who want to use the ferry service need to buy tickets. This means it is open 24 hours a day.

The day I visited the place was a Friday. If you look at the picture above, you will understand that the entire beach was crowded with people. This kind of crowd is often seen when a new tourist attraction is created, especially on holidays. Hopefully, the crowd of tourists will normalize over time and then the full beauty of the ferry terminal beach can be enjoyed.

I went down to the beach and spent quite some time there. A beautiful moment was created when the tide water was very close to me and the sound of the sea waves crashing against the embankment was quite enjoyable to hear. Everyone was busy taking pictures with their phones and recording videos to save these moments. I also made several videos, one of which I am sharing below.

Since the ferry terminal is next to the beach so the large and long sandbags were used to create an embankment after a certain area of the beach to prevent the sea's tidal water from entering the terminal. Firstly I thought the bags were soft and would damage easily but I learned from someone that these long sand bags are very durable for sea embankments and effective in preventing coastal disasters.

I am sorry that all the pictures in this post are from only one area. Actually, there wasn't much else to see there besides the beach that I could share with you through the post. And the place is not primarily known as a tourist center, it is just a part of a ferry terminal. However, this part has become so popular among people that everyone has started to recognize it as a new tourist attraction.

The best moment of that day was the sunset. For me, visiting the Bashbaria Ferry beach was not just enjoyable but it was even more peaceful and delightful to watch the sunset from the very end of the beach. Standing on the embankment bags and watching the bright red sunset and the birds flying beside the sea was a unique experience for me. I can tell that you will enjoy one of the beautiful sunsets at this terminal.
