Meghai Tourism Center, (Meghai Ghat) Sirajganj

Dear friends, I hope everyone is doing well. Today, I will present to you about a travel destination, a tourist center located in the traditional northern region of Bangladesh, specifically in Sirajganj district. There is a renowned river here called the Jamuna River. A tourist center has been established on the banks of this river.

People flock here to enjoy beautiful moments and a lovely time with our dear friends and family. The special attraction of this tourist center is the riverbank. An area of sandy beach has been developed, featuring beautiful spots and some scenic views. I will present an attraction below.

One of the interesting places here is that there are small umbrella systems set up by the riverbank, along with seating areas.

This place was originally just a sandy area. It is located beside a street corner through which our district's police station is situated in Kazipur. The police station is in a well-known area of the upazila where there is a corner, and it is located right by the riverbank. I have been seeing this since my childhood, and gradually, it has been developing into a tourist center over time.

Additionally, it was initially known as a boat ghat. People from the chars (river islands) travel through this boat ghat, and there are many people across the river who belong to our district. Gradually, this ghat has become a tourist center, featuring various scenes and attractions worth seeing. Below, I have shared a few pictures and illustrated them through captions.

The boat at the dock is beautiful and swings gently. It makes the tourist center even more attractively beautiful.

On the banks of the river, there are beautiful chairs arranged at such docks where those who want to go across or who are tired here can sit and spend time.

There are many boats lined up on the banks of this river.

Most of the food here consists of fuchka and chotpoti and similar types of food. They are arranged in this way in the shops.

At this tourist center, there are toy items that ride and move around.

This tourist center has sandbags along the riverbank, which protect against river erosion.

The people on the other side of the river travel with this boat and take their fare.

While wandering there, I stood beside the boat on one side and took a selfie.

The boat is going through the middle of the waves rather than the river, which is a beautiful sight at this Meghai ghat.

This is not an area of the city but rather a feature of a village; such a tourist center in a natural environment becomes truly extraordinary. People living in the city never forget to come here when they return home on vacation. If I get the chance to come home, I also come here. Especially, I really enjoy the scenery here and the natural air and the waves of the river.

Overall, if I talk about this tourist center, there are quite a few things that I have presented above. I believe that the management here and the system in place will make every person feel attracted and pleased. Those who come to such places, especially those who love rivers, who enjoy the water and the waves of the river, and who love boating.
