IKEA, Canberra

We all look at IKEA when we have to buy household items, especially furniture, ready-made designer kitchens, bedroom furniture, or whatever we need for our house.

Yesterday I was at IKEA at 3, which was a mistake because it closes down at 6, and with such a wide variety and vast area with life-size designs, you need much more time.

I wanted to buy a few cookware, but most of my time was spent in bedrooms and drawing rooms and, of course, a few kitchens.

IKEA is a multinational that designs, sells, and ships ready-to-assemble furniture, household goods, and related services and markets its products with an aggressive marketing style.

IKEA is basically from Sweden and it shows in its designs. I am sure when the Swedish owner started it back in 1943, he wouldn't know that IKEA would become a global giant with stores in almost all countries of the world.

That's right; they have over 470 stores in 63 countries.

You can see with their large range of furniture, IKEA is the world's largest furniture retailer.

Their slogan is "You see things a little differently. So do we."

I think they truly come good to their promise.

IKEA Canberra

Key aspects of IKEA:

Business Model:

IKEA operates a unique business model that includes product development, design, supply, manufacturing, and sales, all focused on meeting customer needs.

IKEA offers a wide range of products, from flat-pack furniture to home decor and appliances.

Maybe it sounds costly to me, but as they are catering to the higher income group, they call it as if they focus on "affordability."

IKEA is known for its low prices, making home furnishing more accessible to a wider audience.

Scandinavian Design:

IKEA's furniture and home furnishings are characterized by a simple, functional, and stylish Scandinavian design.

I have been to this and other IKEA stores as a customer, and my experience is always the same.

IKEA's stores are so attractive, similar, and widespread that you don't come out without buying something or other, and sometimes you even buy something that you didn't even need.

I am almost every time lost in their decorated rooms, and their settings and their display are so eye-catching that they change your shopping experience.

There is no doubt about the fact that IKEA has their emphasis on sustainability, with initiatives in areas like environmental impact and reducing pollution.

I am not sure how it works in other countries but at IKEA Canberra they exchange our old light bulbs and fluorescent tube lighting to be brought to the
recycling area closer to the customer service area in
where IKEA staff helps to recycle and dispose of them in a sustainable way.

They have a professional and friendly service that helps the consumers plan their kitchen and one can avail this service in store or from their homes, online.

As their motto is:

"A little or a lot of help, we have a service to suit your needs."

My collection is nothing much though

The IKEA Canberra has different sections like kitchen systems

They regularly run:

And many more.
