Hello friends welcome to my blog

Have you ever gone on a journey that wasn't planned and came really urgent? If yes, tell us about the scenario. If not, do you ever wish to attend such a journey?

Yes, I just had one last Easter break. I never planned to embark on any journey soon, and I felt in my mind there was no need to see any family members because we saw at the last Christmas holiday.

So it was a week before easter and the kids were on easter holiday, my husband had asked me earlier if I had any plans of going to see my parents I told him that I don't have the strength for a long journey although the kids have also told me they will like to travel to go see their cousin's which I also told them I don't have plans for that now and promise them to travel when its long vacation.

One afternoon, I got a call from my husband that he would want us to travel to see my parents this Easter; I was a bit bothered because I was not ready for the stress of packing. I called my younger sister, who also told me they were travelling to see my parents with her family asking if we would come too. It was then I knew this travelling was really going to happen since everyone around was in. So we planned not to tell my parents we were coming to make it a surprise.

It was short notice for me, but I was able to get set with all we needed for the journey and travelled in two days' time. It was my shortest-ever planned journey, and I was also surprised that I could make it without leaving anything important behind.

Tell us about your overall experience during the trip?

It was a smooth trip to our destination, with just a few checkpoints on the road. It was the same takeoff day for my sister and her family. Since their location was ahead of us, they waited for us to get to their point, and we continued the journey together. When we arrived, it was a surprise and joyful moment. Everyone was so excited, and it was a full house.

However, this was the best easter celebration so far; there was lots of fun, it was impromptu, but it was worth it. I enjoyed every single day spent, and so did everyone who was around.

Do you intend to ever go on any unplanned journey again?

Yes, if it will be like this one. But I like my journey to planned so I can take my time to plan and organise things. I believe I was able to cope with this because I was going to a place I am used to, which is a family member's place. If I were to go to a new place or a person who is not a family member, I need to get prepared to be comfortable.

Another reason why I always like my journey planned is to make enquiries and read up about where I am travelling to know more about where I am going to for example, some places require you to wear some type of clothings, if the weather there is a hot one or a cold so you can dress appropriately and be comfortable.

Is it important to prepare very well before going on a journey? Tell us why

Going on a journey requires you to leave that your familiar area or home to different destinations. Most times, your location of travel can never be like where you are coming from. No matter how good it might look, you still need to get prepared to make yourself a bit comfortable before you adapt properly to your new location.

So yes, it is important to prepare very well before embarking on a journey. Get some of those little personal things you will be needing, and double-check to make sure you have packed them in your bag. Like I said earlier, asking questions about how your travel location is. You can read it up online so you don't travel with the wrong things you might not be needing, like clothing, which might make you spend more on purchasing new ones on your arrival.

Also, your planning time helps you make enquiries about the cost of living of where you are travelling to, that is, if you don't have friends or relatives to accommodate you. Enquiry while planning enables you to have an idea and be prepared for how your spending will be.
