Report as Steem Representative, 02.08.2024

Hello, dear readers!
Has it ever happened to you that you do something, but no matter how hard you try, it doesn't work out?
There are many great authors here on Steemit, there are investors, there are witnesses, there are developers. I'm just a regular Steemit user. One day, thinking about what I could be useful for this platform, besides creating content, I noticed that the direction of Steem's promotion is not overloaded, so to speak. I've started promoting Steem, but I keep running into insurmountable obstacles.
At first, I had a great experience promoting with Google Ads. But then I had to go through three stages of verification. I passed two stages, but the third was insurmountable. After that, work with this network became impossible.
I decided to try promoting Steem on Facebook. For four days (!) I tried to order advertising there, but nothing happened. Initially, Meta required me to provide my ID for tax reporting purposes. Then it turned out that I am not an entrepreneur, but an individual. For some reason, they do not provide that an individual can order advertising. Also, Facebook predicted that I would get only 323 clicks on the ad, while for the same budget in Google Ads I got 1000-2000 clicks. The last straw was the impossibility of displaying an advertisement in the countries of the European Union and some others. I had to give up Facebook.
I have only one option left - to go back to promoting Steem on Instagram. Previously, I already ordered advertising campaigns here, but then the goal was to switch to a steemeng account. This time I changed the goal to go to the site and specified this as the landing page. In fact, I'm trying to do the same thing I did with Google Ads, only on Instagram.
The advertising campaign is still ongoing, but I have already been able to notice something:
- Such advertising is much less effective. I only got 15 clicks in half a day today.
- Money is charged for impressions, not clicks. It seems that with the same budget, I will get 100 times less clicks on Instagram than on Google Ads.
I think I will continue to promote Steem, but I have come to a few conclusions.
I believe that Steem (or Steemit) needs promotion. It should be competent promotion to attract the right people, not those looking for easy money.
Ideally, it would be good to order a professional advertising campaign from an advertising agency. Professionals would produce really high-quality advertising content and promote Steem on several networks at once. Funding can be found if there are enough interested parties.
Even if we found financing, converting such funds into the national currency would cause significant difficulties for me personally. So, it should definitely be done by someone else 🙄.
It's unlikely that anyone will be doing professional Steem promotion anytime soon, so I'll just keep trying 😁.
Hi @o1eh, I do not comment lately much due to tight time schedule but when I am a bit free that is something that I like to read and to express my opinion.
I have noticed that you spend enormous effort to do promotion work, I am impressed with the energy that you have and it made me sad to hear that it is so many obstacles for new beginnings.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of regulations, often we do not see immediate benefit but there is definitely some good thought behind all that.
When talking about attracting investors and other users who would bring more people we have to think what part of society would be essential?
People who have their work and business they will not be interesting in such blogging unless it is their hobby to write and communicate and also provided they have time to keep their blog active.
What actually I thought and this is really a group of society that can make a change is youth, we all know that they are well connected with each other with different electronic network and one of it is Computer Games, why? Just look around kids receiving their first consoles as soon as they understand what button to press to make the figures to do something. The older they get the more complex game they would like to have. Two words Nintendo and Super Mario is well know to everyone. Recently you can get into online gaming through that. Thinking about what to gift to a teen we end up buying for example "Steam Gift Cards " the kids love it and for parents it is an easy gift.
What I mean with that we need to make the platform interesting for young people with introducing computer game that will be based on Steem. The time when we had Splinterlands we had a bigger community of the gamers who left together with splinterlands.
This is the direction that Developers should think about and that advertisement should be directed.
I would love to play a game built on the Steem blockchain, whatever that is. Unfortunately, there is no such thing now. Despite all the possibilities Steem offers, very few developers are interested in it. Therefore, probably one of the priority directions can be the promotion of Steem with the aim of attracting the interest of new developers who would independently search for what exactly they would like to implement on the basis of the Steem blockchain. They can be motivated by the opportunity to learn how to work with the blockchain themselves, and in case of success of their developments, also by the opportunity to earn.
Your opinion is very correct. A successful game, or some other successful project, would draw attention to the Steem blockchain and demonstrate that it is not only alive, but also able to grow successfully.
Hi Dear Friend ! Your consistent efforts to promote Steem are commendable. However, you're facing difficulties and the targets you want to achieve are not yielding the desired results.
The right people you're referring to are genuine content creators and investors. You've explained Steem Blockchain in great detail on your landing page.
My suggestion is that instead of targeting social media, if you target universities, colleges, and institutes, there's a high chance of getting positive results.
This way, good content creators can be associated with this platform, and who knows, educational institutions might invest too if they get to know about STEEM (Steemit).
I think this is a good idea 👍.
