It all starts with a curiosity; Gigantic coronal hole in the sun.

A gigantic coronal hole was recorded last week exactly on May 19, 1 million km long in the southern hemisphere of the Sun, the image was taken in the extreme ultraviolet range by NASA's solar dynamics observatory, these holes that are not really holes, it is not that the sun is pierced, they are actually a region in the solar atmosphere where the magnetic fields have opened allowing the solar wind to escape and that is bad.

The coronal holes look this dark because they are a little colder than the rest of the solar surface and they are also a little less dense than the rest of the sun's surface, but despite their enormous size, if you always try to look at the sun with adequate protection, you would not be able to see any holes, unlike sunspots, the largest ones are visible to the naked eye, as long as you take the appropriate measures to see the sun, I repeat, it is very dangerous to look at the sun without adequate protection.

The important thing is that this hole pointed at the Earth and the solar wind that it expelled collided with us and in holes of this type the solar wind is more intense, this is bad because it implies more and more intense solar wind, it also implies a greater risk of solar storms, causing several blackouts and interference in different regions of the planet.

It is believed that in the next few days we will have the space weather a little altered and with solar storms of at least G1.
