New Challenges: My Journey from Flutter to Web and AI Development
In 2023, I embarked on a journey with Flutter, drawn to its promise for multi-platform development, exceptional security, and enhanced user experiences. The thrill of creating a simple app and launching it on the Android market was truly indescribable.
My ambition didn't stop there; I aimed to leverage Flutter for developing a community on Steemit, a blockchain-based blogging and social media platform. This endeavor was filled with high hopes, yet I faced challenges in feature implementation, notably struggling to launch on Android or iOS markets. I also explored offering the service as a Progressive Web App (PWA), but encountered limitations with Flutter's web capabilities, particularly with the writing editor. These hurdles, while disappointing, turned into invaluable lessons about the centrality of user-focused development.
Now, I'm pivoting to web development and AI-related services. Without a definitive plan yet, I've taken the first steps by enrolling in two courses on Next.js 14 on Udemy, eager to broaden my technical skills and gain new perspectives for future projects.
Through the Steemit mobile development project, I learned the importance of setting ambitious goals and the realities of technological limitations, especially regarding PWA development and Flutter Web. These experiences not only honed my development skills but also profoundly influenced my approach to upcoming ventures.
As I continue to embrace new challenges and learning opportunities in 2024, I am excited about the growth that lies ahead. I hope to inspire others with my journey and look forward to growing together. Let's keep pushing forward!
