The birth of my first Ulog

I kept seeing all these "Ulogs"on my screen, so I decided that I could not fall behind. It was one of these things on my endless to do list with post ideas. But like I said, that list is an ongoing thing, and never ending story. My laptop is filled with drafts, some of the posts are pretty good and almost done, and may even be curie-worthy, but I save them for times that I have no inspiration to post other things. So back to the ulog thingy, I was thinking that those days of less time/inspiration to write a post about one topic, the ulog tag could be a good replacement for a short photo post (that I sometimes choose to drop instead of nothing as my laptop is also filled with tons of unused pictures lol). So here we go, my first ulog was born today.

Getting more structured

Lately there has been several events or reasons that have caused me to be less or even non-active for sometimes a week or so. To me this is unacceptable because we really need the extra money I earn here, and with the low STEEM/SBD prices the past months I need to step up my game to earn a bit more. Luckily my boyfriend has a fulltime job that will cover most costs, but from next paycheck there will be four really tight months without my earnings, so I'm trying to save up for this on forehand. This means that I feel guilty when my emotions or whatever get the best of me and cause me to be less or even non-active. But I also realize that sometimes it's best for my own sake to just take that break. I guess I sometimes set the bar a bit too high for myself, but as long as I realize this it should be ok.. The thing is it's not that I have nothing to post about, or that I have no material as in photographs for pretty good posts, and I also have tons of fresh ideas every once in a while.. my to do list for posts is really really endless... Instead of leaving all these half-done concepts in draft on the computer (to then forget about them for maybe months) I have a new game plan ready. Meet the (blog)planner:

Blog-planner weekly

I downloaded it a while ago, as one of my projects for the future, but I forgot about it and now I couldn't find it anymore in my tons of downloads lol. So today I went online to search for it again, you can easily click on the source of the planner above to download it for free. This planner will help me divide my planned tasks along the week, not only the blogs that I would like to publish, for me it's a reminder for more stuff at once.

Ulog quote time

While looking for the Ulog tag to read a few other ulogs, I read @surpassinggoogle's post calling out for Ulog Quotes.. well, let's take advantage of this opportunity and also include a quote in this very first Ulog of mine ;) I once saw it on the internet when it was super applicable to our situation, and since then I've remembered the quote as one of my favorites. The background picture is mine.

Tax cards arranged today

Most people that follow my blogs, know how hard the struggle was to get my passport renewed. I can happily say that I got my passport about ten days ago, yay! And this meant I could finally go to the tax office in Budapest to arrange a tax number for me and my daughter, so I can make another step in between to finally get my public health insurance. Our daughter is all set now, but for me it was an extra step, for which I needed my passport first, so it got more delayed. I was not looking forward to today to go to the office, as most of these offices have trouble speaking English, and send you away if they don't understand you. Plus you have to wait hours and hours if you arrive at the wrong time, but today we got lucky. I only had to wait about 30 minutes and it went super smooth. So this mommy is very very happy because the end is in sight with the bureaucratic arrangements for us.

Today was productive

Next to the tax cards I also did a bit of cleaning in the morning, and I made a begin planning my blogs on the planner above. Another thing that I'm happy about is, that I cashed out my STEEM (mostly from byteball lol) to pay the monthly payment plan we have arranged for a debt in Holland. I won't do this from our Hungarian bank account as they charge a lot, so I had to make sure that I cashed out on time (before the first so I'm quite on time lol) and because last week I wasn't sure if I could manage to make enough earnings I started the power down again. Today I found out I had enough and stopped the power down before it started, so now I can relax about this the next 5 weeks lol. The best thing about today may be that my little girl behaved like an angel when we went out to arrange these tax cards. She is bored quite fast, so these things can be really challenging especially without my other half with me lol. Thanks little one! :)

So I'm not promising to post a Ulog every day, it will more likely be one every few days when I have no other specific posts planned... see you at ulog #2!
