Greetings and blessings to all my friends
Warmly welcome to Steemit Challenge Season 25 to all my lovely friends. First of all, I would like to thank the Steemit team for giving me this opportunity, and I am very happy to have this opportunity too—a brilliant chance for those who are really willing to learn fabric painting with me. The course outline consists of 6 parts weekly in which I love to share the basic tips and techniques. practical demonstration of basic things needed for fabric painting, how to work on cotton, silk, lawn, organza, denim, etc.; tracing designs or motifs; glitter painting; floral painting; block painting; freestyle painting; and emboss painting.
Friends, today I am very happy to present the first week of this proposal. For the first week, as I mentioned in my application post, starting from the beginner level makes it easy to understand further step-by-step moves at the advanced level gradually.
Let me share below some basic things/tools that are necessary for neat and professional fabric painting; you can easily buy them from any book stall or art materials shop at very reasonable prices. I hope it will be a very good competition for all, and I am sure all my students enjoy and explore new innovation and uniqueness in their work on a weekly basis.

The first and very important question popping in every beginner's mind is, Which kind of fabric is suitable for fabric painting??? Is it compulsory to add binder to all fabric paints??? How much time is needed to completely dry the paint?? After washing, will the painting be washed or faded???and so on. But wait...my friends, I will surely briefly discuss and solve all your queries, so don't worry. I am with you till last week and will clear all your confusions.
First, for the course, you must purchase these things certainly...if you don't have these basic tools, you will never do your best on fabric, so it's a one-time small investment payoff for you. Below I share images and uses of tools that we need throughout the course and how to trace any design or motif on fabrics very easily on any kind of cloth.

1 :
Choose a suitable fabric that you can easily paint. Being a beginner, use cotton fabric because it has great absorbing properties; it's also helpful for prevent the surface from paint spills. See the paint bottle label; if it already had binder , you never need to add binder more. Usually in cotton fabric, we need few drops of binder.
2 :
Different kinds of fabric paints are available in the market, but I suggest you buy medium-base consistency colors paints, usually add water before use. According to your design, mix two or three different shades and blend finely before applying. In short, keep in mind patience are require for good work.
You can buy only the six basic primary colors—red, green, yellow, blue, white, and black—and mix them, and you will get new shades as you want for your fabric painting.
3 :
It's very essential material used in fabric painting if your paints having binder free; it makes your painting shine and makes it easy to run your painting brush. It also gives shine and long life even after washing, so add a few drops according to your work or need, but first read the label of your paint bottle.
4
For fabric painting, three basic brush sizes are used for painting and used in different designs, like flower petals; we used the thicker one for fine structures, we used thin or zero-sized brush; for filling objects, we used the thick one .

For professional and fine work you need different kinds of stencils and tracing materials. Even if your sketching skills are not too good, it helps you maintain the perfect shapes/design as you like on fabric. After practice you never need stencils; always follow some simple technique for tracing on fabric.
6 :
During painting we need to mix in fabric colors like water and blender, so a mixing plate makes our work easy. It's also helpful for making new shades.
for good painting Your paintbrush 🖌️ must be slightly runny; it'll help you during painting and level patches after drying, so use a little amount of water in it.
7 :
The fabric has different textures and different types, so for better painting, we need to tighten the fabric by a wooden ring called a frame. It helps in brushing and stroking during painting; it makes the working surface straight and tight like canvas, so always use it before starting work.
8 :
After drying, iron the painting on an ironing board or sufficient surface, but don't forget to iron the fabric on the back side, not directly.... For complete drying, we need 6 to 8 hours.
9 :
Glitters/beads, textured paste or gel, sequins, and other embellishments add an adorable, attractive look to your painting. Keep all accessories in small containers separately.

Second method
I select cotton fabric for this task; in fact it's easy to paint and ideal, especially for beginners. I fixed the fabric in the adjustment frame.

For making it a tracing design, you have two options: one is to directly draw the design or motive as you like by normal pencil ✏️, and the second option is to use Stanislas or by carbon paper I share here both styles you can follow as you like.
- In the second method I used a paper stencil of a simple flower and drew the inside outline by pencil.

you can see it a very beautiful flower on the fabric without any difficulty.

I started painting by our line on the flowers, then mixed the white shade with the dark pink shade, and painted the center part with the gold shade. The painting tips and techniques will be shared in detail in my second week course, with week one focusing on fabric design tracing ideas.

Friends, I started my course with a simple technique; it will advance and be informative week by week. I am sure, guys, now you can draw simple designs on fabric and do basic painting on clothes confidently 🤗.
For next week: how to paint on fabric ,blending of different colours/tips and tricks I will give you complete detail next week. 2. But for basic knowledge, I share below some tips.
- Always add a few drops of water to your fabric paint; it allows for smooth, runny strokes, and your painting looks more vibrant and stain-free.
Dry the painting for at least 8 to 10 hours, then iron the painting surface on the backside of the cloth.
If you're working on cotton fabric, you must add a few drops of binder; it will fix your painting on clothes nicely.
Don't forget to use a frame before starting tracing and painting as well.
1 . Trace the design by yourself or use a stencil on fabric as I taught in the course in detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.
(6 Marks )
2 . List the prices of the materials you need in fabric painting and that you recently bought from the art shop (prices in your local currency and in STEEM).
