Yep, I think this is going to be a lot of fun. It's subtly different from the blockchain perspective. But the hivemind layer is where the magic happens. Before, people would fixate on how many tags they can add to a post, as if more tags means more eyeballs. Communities is like one new tag with a set of rules that expands functionality. Curation on steroids.
Yes, I agree. This is why I originally joined Steem was just for communities on a blockchain. I agree a glorified tag with some rules and I think this is a winner.
I chuckled when, I forget who, maybe Vandeberg, said that the blockchain team already thought they added communities when they added support for tags. But honestly, it's not that far off from being true. There just needed to be a better interpreter of the tags after that. And now we have it.

They weren't to far off. This is tags 2.0. The more I play about with it the more I'm liking it. I agree on the intrepreter of the tags after that.
