BOARD GAMES!!
Hello, hope you are all well.
Most of us love physical games, something that makes our bodies active or even helps us step out of the house. However, there are times when you may not be able to play physical games or it may just be that you prefer to do games that are not that tedious. This is where board games come in. Board games are basically games played using a board and most of them involve mental work to win at them.
Board games are fun especially when played with a big number of people provided it does not exceed the limit. Some can however be played while alone. Let us delve into them then.
Monopoly.
Monopoly is a board game that basically deals with money and also investment of real estate but in very simple terms. Basically there are two dice which are rolled by each player when it is their turn. They move the item they picked be it a car, horse etc the number shown on the dice. The board is made of various streets which one can buy and if one has all the colors on a street then they can build houses or even hotels and whoever lands in property already bought has to pay rent.
Chess.
Chess is a fun game but it may take one some time to get conversant with it. It looks simple however you realize that you have to be tactful, you also have to be able to predict your opponent’s moves to prepare better. Chess has a board that is normally made of white and black squares and various key pieces the pawns, king, queen, horse, bishop etc. All these have great significance when a move is made with them. This game is actually played competitively and one can become good at it and join such competitions.
Scrabble.
This game is all about words. You may think you know English but this game can really test your diction. Scrabble has a board where the various pieces that have letters on them are placed to form words. As the letters become fewer, that is when one’s mind has to remember all those that are rare. The winner is normally one who makes the most words with the letters available since they keep reducing.
