Commitment to Help the Palestinian People

On this occasion, our school had a special guest, a sheikh from Palestine named Mahmoud Said Kamal Al-Khor Al-Hafiz. The arrival of this sheikh was facilitated by a team from DAI Peduli on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Message to read the Qur'an.

On this occasion, Sheikh Mahmoud delivered an important message about the virtues of the month of Ramadan. He emphasized that Ramadan is the month of the Quran, so he invited all of us to read the Quran more. The rewards given in this month are multiplied compared to other months.

Sheikh Mahmoud also described the difficult conditions faced by the Palestinian people today. He explained that Palestine is always under threat, experiencing food and drink shortages, and often hearing bomb explosions. Seeing people die has become a common thing for them. In this situation, children in Palestine can only finish reading the Quran 6 to 12 times during Ramadan.

Unlike the conditions in Indonesia, which is a safe and peaceful country. Here, we don't have any difficulties in terms of food and drink, and there is no threat of terror. Therefore, children, teenagers and parents in Indonesia should spend more time reading the Quran.

Hearing Sheikh Mahmoud's explanation, I was touched. It is now the 20th day of Ramadan, but many of us have not recited the Quran even once. We are caught up in the busyness of work and household affairs.

The conditions in Palestine are dire, commitment to help the Palestinian people.

On that occasion, we also witnessed the conditions in Palestine. The DAI Peduli team showed a number of photos and videos depicting children in Palestine who lack water and are forced to pick up leftover food to eat.

In the video, we saw many martyred fighters, their bodies destroyed by bomb explosions. Their homes and schools were destroyed, and many children are now orphans, living in refugee camps.

Therefore, the DAI Peduli team invites all of us to help the people and children in Palestine by donating a little of our wealth. On this occasion, donations from teachers, students, and parents amounted to Rp2,324,000, or approximately 1,141 Steem, based on the Steem price on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

The DAI Peduli team also invited us to commit to helping the Palestinian people in a sustainable manner. We are invited not only to help today, but also to contribute every month, given their dire condition.

I and several other teachers committed to helping the Palestinian people on an ongoing basis. Those of us who signed this commitment received a small gift in the form of a turban with the Palestinian logo given by Sheikh Mahmoud.

After the lecture from Sheikh Mahmoud ended, we ended the activity by giving food packages and compensation to poor, orphaned, and orphaned students. A total of 36 students received food packages and cash compensation. This program was successful thanks to the cooperation and assistance of the teachers, parents, and students. This is a form of our concern in helping others, especially the school community in need.

Let us continue to contribute and commit to helping the Palestinian people, so that they do not feel alone in their struggle.
