Today, I will be bringing to us the trending and epoch project , Steem Atlas which is gradually making waves in the Steemit platform. It is a project introduced by @pennsif so as to ensure that geo-tagged contents are being introduced into the Steem block chain.

Steem Atlas which has the official name "Illuminated Atlas" of the Steem-powered world is gradually making distance places and hidden locations available to humans irrespective of where they are located. This project serves as an interactive world map where interested Steemians can access and create contents of specific places and locations giving detailed information and pictures of the places.

Unlike the usual Steemit blogging where post are made about food, lifestyle, animals, sports, event etc, Steem Atlas comes in a more real and empirical dimension as posts and contents are being tied to specific locations and places. With this, users can write a detailed description of their church, schools, mosque, recreational centers, market and every other places whose existence are near permanent then map it on the Steem Atlas. The interesting part of the project is that such a user is always rewarded using the @steemcurator03 account.

This post will present and in-depth knowledge on Steemit Atlas, how to create a successful post on Steemit Atlas and it will also present a typical example of how it's been done

Steem Atlas is a location/places centered content discovery and creation tool that is built on the Steem block. This creation tool enables it users to perform the following activities;

Navigate geo-tagged contents that are linked to real world places and locations globally.

Engage with real life stories, experiences and vital detailed information of places and locations globally.

The importance of Steem Atlas can truly be felt among Steemians who has interest in any of the following;

Avoiding an endless strolling when looking for a localized content. This is achieved via searching it on the Atlas map.

The sharing of engaging visual contents of their experiences tied to specific locations or places.

Bloggers who wishes to extend the visibility of their contents through mapping on Atlas map.

Preserving traveling memories or advertising of a localized place to the world well being appreciated in the process.

Now that we are familiarized with the Steem Atlas map, let's consider how we could make good and effective use of it In mapping locations and places.

Step 1: The very first step is to ensure that your quality and detailed pictures are ready and preferably in landscape orientation.

Step 2: Ensure that you prepared a well detailed post on Steemit about your preferred location. Please ensure that the information given are true and if possible backed with a well taken picture. While preparing the post, it is important that all the pictures used as a little title and that useful Links of the place or location such as; social media handles, website, phone number etc are been included

Step 3: Using Google map, locate and ensure that you are used to the location of the place so as to give you a smooth ride while using the Steem Atlas map.

Step 4: Now that your images, content is ready and you've understood the exact location of the place using Google map, the last stage is to move straight to the Steem Atlas map and locate the exactly place as found in the google map.

After clicking the link and an interface of this kind

(depending on whether you are using a system or smart phone) pops up, locate the exact location as seen on the Google map then click on Embedded pin.

After clicking on embedded pin, you need to place the pin at the exact location as it was on the Google map before going ahead to fill a dropped down box. In the box there will appear a place where you are been asked to put the title. Please at this point, do not put the title of your post but, the exact name of the place you are mapping

After putting the name of the place, click on copy pin then head straight to your prepared post and paste it there before posting.

Use of high quality pictures so as to enhance and attract engagements and remember to label your images. Example;
