Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

We have made it to the weekend, and that means we have also made it to Caturday, my favorite day of the week! This is that special day when people all around the world find the cutest pictures of their cats and share them on the Internet!

This weekend we're celebrating a very special Caturday because this also happens to be Mother's Day weekend, at least here in the USA.

Hopefully you will be able to celebrate your mother, or as we cats might do... celebrate our Mom-Hooman!

Of course, everyone here came from the local animal shelter so we were basically given the start of "orphans" in this world. But we ended up finding a loving home, and so we can be grateful that our lives have turned out well.

It is actually a fairly quiet weekend around here, because the Mom-Hooman has left town to go spend the weekend with the Daughter-Hooman and her new baby. This will be the first time that we have three generations celebrating together!

This also means that we cats are home alone with the Dad-Hooman this weekend, and until Wednesday, but he knows how to take good care of us, and even though there are "more cats than hands" in the household at the moment he does a pretty good job of making sure that we all feel like we have been paid attention to!

Shangri and Nala, almost a year old!

We have also almost reached the point where we get to celebrate Shangri and Nala for their first birthday. We are making a best guess at their actual birthday, based on the fact that they joined our household during the last few days of August last year, and at the time the people at the animal shelter said that they were between three and four months old.

We are so very happy that these two have found a happy home with us, and we're also very happy that we decided to adopt both of them together since they were so closely bonded! They are, after all, littermates.

It is really nice to see that the crypto markets are starting to look up a little bit. Now I just wish that our own Steem token would start to follow Bitcoin’s lead, and show signs of life.

In a way I am not surprised that things have been going sideways for a while, given all the uncertainty in the various economies around the world. The geopolitical situation is definitely enough to make people very nervous.
