Steemit Crypto Academy Season 4 Beginners' course - Task 4:Blockchain, Decentralization, Block explorer
Hello everyone! Today I will be attempting to answer my task one among the 10 tasks.
- What is a block explorer? And what are its purpose and use? Search for different cryptocurrency block explorers and list them below. At least five different cryptocurrencies. Also, explore the transaction of a crypto coin on block explorer and explain with the help of a screenshot.
What is a block explorer?
A block explorer is an online tool created to help users navigate and explore information, data, transactions, and updates e.t.c about a blockchain. A blockchain often consists of blocks that in turn contain information, data, transactions e.t.c which can not be altered and these blocks are generated sequentially one after another each containing unique information and data.
The blockchain explorer was created to help a user navigate the thousands of blocks and locate particular information within the blockchain. These block explorers are often created in conjunction with the blockchain and some are only used specifically for a particular blockchain while some are created to facilitate more than one blockchain information. For instance, the Steem blockchain explorer can not be used to explore the Bitcoin blockchain and vice versa
In a nutshell the blockchain explorer is a tool used to explore information about a particular blockchain
And what are its purpose and use?
The block explorer major/primary purpose was to serve as an interface where information about a blockchain can be sorted with ease
And also to present updates about a particular blockchain
The blockchain explorer provides real-time information about a blockchain
The blockchain explorer can be used by individuals to confirm or verify a particular transaction by using the hash of the transaction to confirm its validity
The blockchain explorer is used by miners to confirm if they were successfully able to mint or generate a block cause their names are usually added in the block info
The blockchain explorer helps as an outlet to show the transparency of a blockchain since every transaction that occurs in the blockchain is and can also be found there
The blockchain explorer can be used by the user to track their transactions if it has been verified by validators and how long it took
Search for different cryptocurrency block explorers and list them below. At least five different crypto currencies.

Also explore the transaction of a crypto coin on block explorer and explain with the help of screenshot.
I would be exploring the Tron blockchain with the help of Tronscan blockexplorer to view transaction
With the help of the tronscan explorer
to explore the transaction one has to have the address or hash of the transaction which one can use to search for a transaction and confirm its validity. As seen above
CONCLUSION
The block explorer helps individuals explore more about the blockchain and its use is limitless and users beginners or pro know to utilize the information gotten from the blockchain explorer to maximize profit and to stay informed about the blockchain
