I'm starting by wishing all my Steemit friends good health. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am very well. I will be participating in a great engagement challenge today. The theme of the engagement challenge is SLC25-W1 // "Caesar Salad". So let's get started.
1 - Make a "Caesar Salad"; You can use the recipe presented in this course or any recipe of your choice (with detailed descriptions of utensils, ingredients and preparation steps). Include any additional ingredients of your choice to enhance the taste of your Caesar salad and describe it in detail.
I received this engagement today to make a salad of my choice. The area where I live is a village. It is very difficult to find lettuce leaves in our village and the surrounding villages because the people here sell their cultivated vegetables in the market and eat them themselves. However, lettuce leaves are occasionally available in the market. However, instead of lettuce leaves, we all usually use coriander leaves. However, sometimes we also use lettuce leaves. Anyway, the recipe for a traditional Caesar salad from our region is given below.
What you will need to make the Caesar salad recipe is,
Ingredients required:
- Coriander leaves
- Mayonnaise
- Cucumber
- Tomato sauce
- Pepper powder
- Red pepper and green chili
- Onion
- Lemon juice
Preparation method
- Step 1: First, I will wash the coriander leaves, cucumber, onion and chilies thoroughly in clean water.
- Step 2: Now I will cut all these ingredients into rounds and keep them in a clean bowl.
- Step 3: Now I will add salt, pepper powder, mayonnaise and tomato sauce to these ingredients.

- Step 4: Now I will mix all the ingredients together with the help of a spoon. Then I will add a small amount of lemon juice.
- Now I will decorate it beautifully to serve. Because the recipe that looks beautiful also makes you want to eat it and looks tempting. So I decorated it with a lemon slice here.

2 - Did you make the recipe taught in the course or did you make your favorite recipe? Tell me about the taste of your salad? Did it meet your expectations?
The recipe taught is very amazing to me. However, since the ingredients are not available in our region, I tried to make a salad recipe of my choice with all the ingredients available in our region. This salad tastes amazing to eat.
This salad is very famous in our region. Because you can eat this salad with rice, bread or even on its own. Here, its flavor is different through the sweetness of different ingredients. Since everyone in our region eats it, I have been eating this recipe since childhood. I like this recipe very much, so I shared it through this engagement challenge.
The combination of cucumber, onion, coriander, tomato sauce, mayonnaise is perfect for this salad recipe. It is eaten very easily by the people of our region. This salad is sour, spicy and incomparable in taste.
3 - Highlight the benefits of lettuce, croutons and parmesan cheese for our body and mention the price of each of them in steam.
The benefits of lettuce cartoon and parmesan cheese for our body are given below.
- Lettuce:
Lettuce leaves contain low calories and high amounts of fiber, which helps in reducing weight in our body.
In addition, eating lettuce leaves increases our body's immunity and relieves constipation.
Lettuce leaves are rich in vitamins and minerals, which are very beneficial for our body. In addition, eating lettuce leaves increases our digestive power.
Eating lettuce leaves reduces our risk of heart disease and also improves our mental health.
- Croutons:
Since croutons are made of fried bread, their taste is very unique and different.
It is a heavy food, so it fills the stomach even after eating a little, that is, it works great in suppressing hunger. Those who prefer to eat less can mix it with salad and eat it.
By mixing this ingredient with salad, those who eat less do not need heavy food and we get enough energy from food.
- Parmesan:
Parmesan contains a lot of protein, which is very beneficial for our body. Eating it will fulfill the protein deficiency in our body.
Apart from this, eating Parmesan increases digestion and helps in eliminating constipation.
Eating Parmesan increases the immunity of our body and keeps the body healthy.
Parmesan contains calcium, which strengthens our body's metabolism. Therefore, eating it is very important for our good health.

You must clean the ingredients of this salad first and then cut them, otherwise the salad will have excess water.
Here I have used lemon juice and tomato sauce. If you do not have these ingredients at hand, then tamarind chutney can be used in this salad. It gives a different flavor and taste.
This salad recipe is very tasty, so you can eat it in the evening or you can eat it with bread, rice. This will increase your taste for food.
Conclusion :
To participate in this engagement challenge I have prepared this salad recipe using a traditional and local fresh ingredients from our region. I hope you all like it. It is very easy to make and great to eat. This was my presentation today.
