Preparing Porridge Beans Using Local Recipes
Good day guys, I am @megareigns and this is my first time posting here. I will be sharing the recipe I used in preparing my beans porridge, I am not a professional chef and might not get some measurements right but then, I did satisfied my cravings of eating porridge beans, stay with me a little bit guys.
Ingredients
For my beans porridge, I like to keep it very simple with the ingredients, so here are the ingredients;
• Beans
• A bulb of onion
• 2 double seasoning cube
• Salt
• Pepper
• Palm oil
• Water
Preparation
• Selecting the beans to make sure it is void of chaffs and stones.
• Then I turned the selected beans to a put and added a considerate volume of water before putting it on fire.
• I added a pinch of salt to the about-to-be parboiled beans so it could get soft with no distant time
• After adding the salt, I put it on fire.
• While on fire, I sliced the onions
• I let the beans boil for 10 minutes before going back to check if it's soft but since it wasn't, I added water to it again to soften it
• After 5 minutes, I checked back and it was soft, I brought it down from heat and sieved it then washed it with clean water
• After sieving it, I turned it back to the pot and added a little water to it, then put my seasoning cubes, salt, pepper and palm oil to it.
• After adding all the ingredients, I allowed it seamer for some minutes.
• After a minute plus, I turned off the heat and dished my beans, it was ready to be served.
• You can decide to take it with rice, bread, custard, even pap or just like that.
In Addition
Beans is necessary for perfect growth and the presence protein makes it even more needed for repairs of worn out tissues in our system, endeavour to take it once or twice in a month.
