Breakfast-Vegetable Upma - Mango Slices |

Since it is summer, the temperature here is very high, so we have to prepare food accordingly. We need to prepare it from time to time and eat it right away. For breakfast, I made upma with semolina and added carrots, peas, beans, etc. to it to make vegetable upma. In the morning, my son and I ate together because my husband was going out, so I packed the same dish in my son's lunch box. It's always best to eat seasonal fruits. It's mango season here now, so I sliced up the mangoes I bought yesterday and served them. They were delicious.

Yesterday afternoon we went to see my daughter who is in the hostel. Then we took her out and had food at a restaurant and ordered full meals. It included rice, sambar, vegetable fry, curd, payasam, vada, rasam, appalam, chapati etc. The food was very tasty and satisfying. Everyone enjoyed it very much.
After that, we went to a nearby sweet shop to buy the sweets and snacks my daughter needed. There, various sweets, snacks and savouries were displayed beautifully and neatly. I ordered my daughter's favorite snack, which I bought for her.

If I am at home in the evening, I want to give my son some snacks before his online tutoring starts, so I took the apples I had at home and cut them into pieces. It is very important to eat them in the evening, as they give instant energy.

Dinner- Semiya Upma |

I had made chapati and chickpea khurma for dinner. I had soaked the chickpeas in water in the morning. The chickpeas were soaked well and big because they were soaked in water for about eight hours. I washed them, boiled them, added sautéed onions, tomatoes, and coconut, and ground them to a paste and mixed them with potato cubes and added masala powder to make a gravy.
I felt both full and delighted because we had eaten healthy all day yesterday. I thank God for this delicious and nutritious food.
