Recipe of the Day, Week No. 69: (How to prepare bread and egg sauce)

For this week "Recipe of the day, week no 69, I am thrilled to share a homemade breakfast recipe that never fails to satisfy — Bread and Sauce. This dish is a breakfast classic in many Nigerian homes — a quick, nutritious, and delicious combo that fills the belly and warms the heart. Whether you're preparing it for yourself or loved ones, this recipe is super easy to follow and incredibly rewarding. INGREDIENTS

• Egg
• tomatoes
• pepper
• onion
• Maggie
• salt
• groundnut oil

step by step cooking process.

Before starting make sure your ingredients are properly washed and ready, next slice your tomatoes Into small cubes.

Next I slice the onion thinly, and break the eggs into a bowl, Add a pinch of salt to the eggs and beat them thoroughly. If you're using fresh pepper, chop it finely to enhance the flavor of your sauce.

Once all the ingredients are in order, Place a frying pan on medium heat and pour in your vegetable oil. Allow it to heat for about a minute. Once hot, add the sliced onions and sauté until they become slightly golden and aromatic.

Next I Add the diced tomatoes and chopped pepper to the frying pan, I Stir well and let them cook for 5–7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and the water starts to reduce. If you’re using a seasoning cube, now is the perfect time to add it. As it cooks gradually, I sprinkle a little salt to bring out the taste and let the mixture cook until it's thick and rich.

After doing that, I poured my beaten egg into the cooking frying pan, Let it sit for a few seconds so it begins to set. Then, i gently stir everything together, allowing the eggs to scramble and absorb the tomato flavor.

I Continue cooking for another 3–4 minutes until the egg is fully cooked and the mixture has a thick, saucy consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. While my sauce finishes cooking, and I turned off the heat , my sauce is now ready.

I sliced my bread into my desired shape and then I Serve it hot with slices of soft bread on the side. You can either pour the sauce onto the bread or use the bread to dip into the sauce — whichever you prefer.
