(For Two persons)

2 - In our country, we use this method to make Russian salad.
I have boiled the eggs for 10 minutes and fully cool off before I will peel them.

To prepare Russian salad, we first need to chop carrots, potatoes and green peas.

20250627_100051.jpg

Now I cleaned them under running water.

Now I put them in a deep bowl.

I add enough water.

Drain using a sieve.

I kept them in the microwave on high for seven minutes.

To make salad, I put all vegetables in a deep bowl.

And then added mayonnaise.

We use cream but in lesser quantity

A little mustard sauce

At this stage I added a slice of pineapple as I wanted to increase the taste (sometimes I skip egg and add mor pineapple slices.)

At this point I mixed all the ingredients of salad well.

Now I kept it in the refrigerate for at 1 hour.

Finally I add salt and freshly ground black pepper separately because my wife eats lesser salt then me and eats more pepper.

That's how we prepare Russian Veg Salad in our style.

Today, I will eat it in lunch without bread or tomatoes soup because I had a heavy breakfast in the morning.

You asked us to tell you about the flavor of our salad

The flavor depends on the ingredients we use since we use boiled vegetables and fruits and in some case eggs so it tastes great and we use it as staple food since I love to stay on vegetables and fruits especially for the lunch.

You asked us if it meets our expectations

This Russian Salad definitely tastes great when served chilled. We simply serve this salad with slices of brown bread and tomato and spinach soup. It has enough nutrition value as it contains protein, carbohydrate and Fibers.

I love eating Russian salads at least thrice a week so it definitely meets my expectation for its taste and nutrition values otherwise I wouldn't have shared it. Yes, it meets my expectation for sure.

3- The benefits of potatoes and carrots and indicate the price of these vegetables on Steem.

Carrot is one root vegetables which is tasty and full of nutrients. Carrot is rich in vitamin A and carotene, contains vitamin A and C. Carrots also contain antioxidants beta carotene, alpha carotene, calcium, and different vitamins.

I believe antioxidants bring glow to the skin that's perhaps this is the reason Russians are considered having healthy and silky skin. In Australia people use carrots to protect the skin from sun damage because skin cancer is considered a dangerous disease here. Consumption of carrots is also beneficial for diabetes and heart patients.

Potato is rich in nutrients. Due to high vitamin C and acid, potato cleans the skin and makes it beautiful and brings glow to the face. Even patients of high blood pressure can eat potatoes and it helps in normalizing blood pressure. Eating potatoes alone is very beneficial in kidney stones.

4 - Do you have any special tips for making this salad? Share them.

In our country, we typically add vegetables in Russian salad. In case children in our family wish to add eggs we add them in our salad.

We in India and Australia have multiple recipes to prepare Russian Salad. But we are vegetarians so I will give you vegetarian version with a lovely taste and texture as we use boiled vegetables.

While cooking the veggies, I make sure not to overcook them or else they will not be able to retain their color and crunch.

These perfectly cooked veggies when mixed with mayonnaise and fresh cream in the Veg Russian Salad makes a very delicious dish besides this popular Russian salad is so easy to make as it only involves boiled vegetables and mayonnaise besides a eggs and in our case a few chosen fruits like pineapple.
