Greetings, artists and new members of the community. New news arrives with the month of June. For example:

  • 📈 22 new Steemians joined the community.

General Analysis of Participation, Date range: June 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025

Primary sources:
- Data and graphs were collected through the application https://stats.steemhub.tech/app by @kafio, in community mode.
- Some graphs and tables were created in Canvas.
- Comment filtering was done thanks to @michelangelo3 and his search engine: https://steem.x10.mx/search.php

1. Posts

image.png
During June, 164 posts were published from the Community. But only 131 used the #artonsteemit tag. (See tag analysis.)
Average daily posts: 5.46 posts/day during June.
- 3 days were recorded with 9 posts each.
- The lowest number of posts (2), occurred on only 1 day.

2. Top Authors (a)

image.png

a. Subscriber engagement remains as high as in june . Only two of the top 10 publishers are members of the moderation staff.

b. 📄 Top Six Authors. Jun/25 peer week.

We left out moderators. Note: Week 4 covers 9 days.
Tablas arte1.png

90% of posts (147/163) average 176 words per post, and include at least four allusive images. This is normal in a community dedicated to the visual arts.

3. Comments Over Time

image.png
During the month of June, 797 comments were registered.
-On average, 26,6 comments are made per day in the community.
With a rate of 4.86 comments per post.

3a. Top commentators

image.png
In June, the top eight comments were posted by staff members. This is to be expected: in a community, the main commenters are team members. It would be necessary to clean up the voting accounts that leave comments, as well as automated comment bot accounts.

3b. 👥 💬 Top six commenters.

We left out moderators. Note: Week 4 covers 9 days.
Tablas arte2.png

Reviewing the recorded figures, the reality is that only 19.1% of the comments were generated by this top 6. It's true that there are other commenters below this top 6, but their number contributes little to the final percentage. Figures: total comments: 811, top 6 comments: 155 = 19.1% of the total.
The obvious reality, supported by the data, is that at least 78% of the comments are generated by staff, voting accounts, and bots' predefined messages. This doesn't imply anything negative, just that our subscribers tend to comment little among themselves.

4. Tags

image.png

The community has a main hashtag: #artonsteemit. In June, 20.1% (or 33 of the 164 posts recorded) did not use this hashtag in their top five. It's worth highlighting the educational work done in this regard, as well as the fact that there were 22 new subscribers who might not be aware of this status when posting.

7. Resume

image.png
The Art & Artists community has been showing steady growth in recent reports. The largest number of publishers are subscribed Steemians, ahead of the Staff. Although it's currently a small group of publishers, it's nonetheless very prolific when it comes to sharing their artistic pieces with us.
We still need to work hard on proper tagging and the importance of commenting. Our leader is right.
The good news is that thanks to @michelangelo3 and his search engine, I was able to filter out bot accounts to obtain the top six commenters, a huge help. Hopefully, in the future, I can add the ability to group the raw results by author and date.
Here's an example of comment filtering:

It's always very comforting to see that the community is active and that new members are arriving. We will continue creating and sharing art. Our main goal: to overcome as many barriers as possible—artistic, emotional, and personal development barriers. Always among friends, among those who are interested in art.
Very good statistics; it encourages us to feel that we are not so alone and that art is beginning to take root in Steemit.

Friend, you and the other members are the ones making this growth possible.
It's been exciting to watch your development as an artist.
I think you're ready to launch a tutorial or a course on how to draw vivid eyes, as well as that technique you use for hair... go for it.

Thanks

Thank you for the support and motivation. I have some factors that limit my time (electricity doesn't help), which hasn't allowed me to be more active so far. But I do have great ideas and a desire to create and promote art.

You do a great job and show and explain what you do. Better times will arrive if it comes to painting. As long as you do a bit you learn and improve.

I like to know if the comments are real comments or just the standard ones and basic info like you post frequently.

Is the tool that counts the comments updated?
👍 or 👀 I don't count as a comment, nor copy-paste info or: hereby my entry.

I assume you mean by "author" in the 4th pic artist?!

Thanks for the overview, though I have my doubts about the numbers and what is posted.

Hi, dear.
What do you mean by "real comments"?

The kafio app collects all types of comments, counting them as valid (real?). Without discriminating, this tends to yield a high result.

With michelangelo3's app, I was able to filter out comments from "seven," from tipu, and from other accounts, both bots and greeting messages, among others. And the numbers are different.

I'm learning to better manage michelangelo3's app; it will be very helpful. Specifically regarding comments, my idea is to separate comments under 10 words, as a start. And how many of that type each subscriber made. I plan to keep a weekly record, to accumulate results and present them at the end of the month.

If you have any suggestions for what you'd like to measure, write them here, and I'll try to turn it into a computable indicator.

Hugs.

I assume you mean by "author" in the 4th puc artist?!

I'm referring to the author (creator) of the post.

I could swear I just left you a comment.

By real I mean, constructive and preferably a reply.

It's good to read michelangelo3's app has some filters (link?)

Any idea where the posts of all those newcomers are? I mainly see the same people which I wouldn't call authors since they hardly write, therefore I prefer "artist" or "account".

I rather would see some engagement, although I understand it's hard for many artists, even a short reply is frequently not in it.

Thanks so far,
a hug to you and a happy, creative day.
