STEEM ATLAS [10 Aug '25] : New Atlas Ambassador & Increased Delegator Rewards
The Steem Atlas project continues to grow day by day.
Today we are happy to report two new developments.
Firstly, we have recruited another new Atlas Ambassador.
Secondly, we have increased the Delegators Rewards rate.
New Atlas Ambassador
We are very happy to have @joshrone join the team of Atlas Ambassadors.
@Joshrone is based in Spain and has been regularly making great Atlas posts from that country for some months.
As our first Ambassador in Europe he will be covering the whole of the continent as well as Spain.
We very much hope to see more Atlas activity in Europe in the coming months.
The Atlas Ambassador team now number seven in total...
- @damithudaya [Sri Lanka]
- @joshrone [Spain]
- @miftahulrizky [Indonesia]
- @mohammadfaisal [Pakistan]
- @natz04 [Philippines]
- @solaymann [Bangladesh]
- @vivigibelis [Venezuela]
Increased Delegator Rewards
We have been delighted with the response to the introduction of rewards for delegators to the @steem-atlas account.
Since the launch of the Delegator Rewards on Thursday over 100,000 SP has been delegated, with the total now standing at 474,153 SP.
We would particularly like to thank @chriddi for her very generous delegation of 50,000 SP.
It looks like our first target of 500,000 SP to become an Atlas Whale will be achieved very soon.
Then we will be on our way to the big target of 1 Million SP for @steem-atlas.
To help achieve this target we have today increased the Delegator Reward Rate by 10% to 0.33 STEEM / 1000 SP / day.
This will increase our competitiveness in the delegation market and we hope it will attract more people to delegate to the Steem Atlas project.
Thank you to everyone who is supporting Steem Atlas.
We strongly believe it can become a flagship project for the Steem blockchain.
Thank you
The Pennsif Witness team (@pennsif, @rexthetech, @freelance.monkey) & the Atlas Ambassadors
It's wonderful to see we finally have a representative from our beautiful old Europe.
So, congrats to @joshrone for joining the team and I hope to see more people expanding the "European team" soon!
Now, something practical to ask.
Yesterday, when I posted a new article containing some of my travel photos from Meteora in Greece, I noticed there are a few very old (back from 2018) posts of mine with broken images. These were created from an app called steepshot that was gone few years ago and as the images were uploaded to its own database now they are all gone too.
I cannot find a way to edit or delete this from within SteemAtlas (here is one link to illustrate this but there are more that need cleaning https://steematlas.com/@lightcaptured/minimal--spiritual--2018-10-4-13-9-13 )
I was able to edit the content of the post by replacing "steematlas.com" with "steemit.com" in the browser URL but after refreshing multiple times, the pin still shows on the SteemAtlas map. Caching? Is it going to disappear?
Perhaps @pennsif is aware of something that could come handy, I think there is some substantial amount of "stuff" that needs cleaning from SteemAtlas.
Steepshot was one-picture-less-words oriented so I'd really like to tidy up my SteemAtlas contributions, I guess others would find such a feature useful too.
I also suspect @chriddi has been looking for something similar herself as there was a question I couldn't answer for her.
Keep the great work up!

Hi @lightcaptured
If needed we can block unwanted posts from Steem Atlas.
The easiest way would be to DM me on Discord with any old posts you would like to be removed.

I was hoping to be able to do editing as well as there are posts that I already updated on steemit and there they seem properly updated but their old version appears on the Atlas. Some of them I like a lot as they have both quality photos and stories, others I would like to hide for good.
I can work on compiling a list of permlinks (that OK?) with the old steepshot posts that need deleting.
Here is another minor feature request for a future version - when searching by user, let's say myself, I get 104 hits.
I start to scroll down to see the older posts. Once I click one specific title, I cannot find a way to go back to the list and I need to close this window and run a new search and again scroll down so I check another. Even with only 104 items, it takes a lot of time ;) I hope this feature request makes sense, I guess it will decrease the payload of the database as well, decreasing the number of the queries if the list is cached.
Thank you @lightcaptured ⚡
Thank you so much, dear @pennsif, for this update. Here is my contribution to @steem-atlas.
