Daejeon has a very famous bakery in the country. It's a bakery called "Sungsimdang," which started out as a small bakery and has now grown into a giant company with numerous branches. It is so popular that almost everyone in Korea thinks of Sungsimdang first when they hear "Daejeon". People have lined up so long to buy freshly baked bread since early in the morning.
The breads of Sungsimdang are popular because they are all delicious, but the most popular one is 'Fried Soboro Bread'. Since many people always buy it, the store always packs bread in a box so that customers can always take it right away. Every time I go to Daejeon, I buy two or three boxes and give them to my family. It's a taste that my wife and children really like, so I think I'll continue to buy it in the future. :)
