“Inside My Supermarket Experience” (Justrite Superstore)
Going to the supermarket is something most of us do often, but each store has its own feel, service, and way of doing things. A good supermarket can make shopping easy, fun, and even save money, while a poor one can leave you stressed.
In this review, I will share my personal experience at the supermarket from the environment, customer service, prices, and product variety, to how comfortable it felt shopping there.

Shopping has always been one of those everyday things that can either be fun or stressful. For me, a good supermarket makes a total difference with neat space, fair prices, and products that don’t make me regret spending money. That’s why I decided to share my experience at Justrite Superstore in Bariga, a place I often stop by when I need to restock my essentials.
Location, Background and size
The first thing I like about Justrite Bariga is the location. It sits right along the main road, so it’s easy to spot from any where. I don’t have to go out of my way to find it, and it’s also not just a random local shop, it’s part of a Nigerian chain that’s been spreading across different areas with so many other stores across Lagos, founded since year 2000. In Bariga, it has already gained a lot of regular shoppers, and I can see why.

When you step inside, the size of the place is massive, bigger than the small shops we usually find around the area. The layout is simple and easy to move through. Groceries take one section, the bakery has its own spot, frozen foods are properly arranged, and household items are neatly lined up. I like that I don’t have to keep asking where things are, just a quick walk around and you can figure out everything you want.

Product Variety
The variety of products is one of the main reasons I keep going back. They stock both local and imported items, so whether I’m looking for affordable everyday goods or something a little more special, I can find it. There’s always fresh produce on display, and the bakery makes it hard to resist picking up bread or snacks.
Apart from food, they also sell cosmetics, toiletries, which have there different spots and even electronics which are displayed upstairs. It feels like one of those “all-in-one” spots where you won’t need to hop around different markets. They also have a big pharmacy store right inside the supermarket with their attendants seated ready to attend to a customer. Right there, we have children wears, toys, home appliances, and kitchen utensils well displayed with their prices.

Pricing
About pricing, I’ll be honest, Justrite isn’t always as cheap as the open market, no. Sometimes you’ll find items slightly higher. But what balances it out for me is the comfort and freshness. They also run discounts and seasonal promos, which is a big plus. I remember during one festive season, I got some products at a really good price, and it felt worth every naira spent.

Quality and freshness
Another thing I really appreciate is the freshness of their goods. The fruits and vegetables usually look good, the meat is well stored, and I’ve never had to worry about picking expired products. I can tell they restock often and pay attention to hygiene, which gives me peace of mind.

Customer service and facilities
Customer service has been okay for me. Most times, the staff are friendly and ready to direct you if you’re confused about where something is. At the checkout counters, they try to work quickly, though during rush hours it can get a bit slow. Still, they are polite, and that makes the wait less annoying.
The store also provides facilities that make shopping easier. There are trolleys and baskets at the entrance, and though the parking space can get packed on busy days because its small in size, it’s still a relief to have one. The aisles are open enough for elderly shoppers to move around comfortably, though I think they could do a bit more to make it friendly for people with disabilities.

Hygiene and personal experience
Cleanliness is another thing I noticed. The aisles are swept, products are arranged neatly, and the place doesn’t have that cramped, dusty feel that some stores do. Since the pandemic, they’ve also kept sanitizers at the entrance, which shows they care about safety.
On a personal note, I prefer Justrite Bariga because it saves me the stress of running around. Instead of buying bread here, fruits there, and toiletries somewhere else, I just get it all in one place. One memory that stands out was during a festive rush when the store was filled with people. Even with the crowd, the staff managed to stay organized, and I left with everything I needed at fair prices.
At the end of the day, Justrite Bariga isn’t perfect, but it has a lot going for it ranging from convenience, variety, cleanliness, to decent service. For someone like me who values a stress-free shopping experience, it’s a place I don’t mind returning to again and again even with the high price.

Hello.
I like shopping at supermarkets or convenience stores. It's great to be able to choose the products myself and then pay for everything at once.
I also don't like asking about prices or the items themselves; we just need to walk around for a while to find what we're looking for.
I once bought a very large and delicious loaf of bread. I see how people choose the bread they want without any problems, whereas
in the stores close to home, I had to wait a long time.
Finding everything you need is great because you save time and money searching in small stores.
What I like most are the discounts and promotions.
