Canaanland in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, has always held a special place in my heart long before I moved to Lagos. With the smaller branches scattered all over the place in the Eastern part of Nigeria, I worshipped in one of the branches, but still hoped to be at the headquaters. It became one of my deepest desires that once I finally settle in Lagos, I would start attending services there consistently. To me, it wasn’t just about being part of a church, it was about becoming part of a vision I had admired from afar.

When I finally visited, it felt like a dream fulfilled. The moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was reminded of why I had always longed to be here. The first impression came from the car parks. With the great number of people arriving for service, OMG! one would expect confusion, yet what I saw was order. Attendants guided vehicles carefully, and the large, well-marked spaces gave a sense of calm even amidst the crowd. It was clear that this place was designed with excellence and organization in mind.

From the car park, my eyes were immediately drawn to the New Ark building. Though still under construction, its massive frame stood proudly in the skyline. Seeing it up close was humbling. It represents more than just bricks and steel. It is a symbol of vision, growth, and the future of worship for generations yet to come. For me, it also served as a reminder of how faith continues to expand and break boundaries.

I also explored the stores where snacks and refreshments are sold. At first, it seemed like a small detail, but in truth, it spoke volumes. Worshippers, especially families with children, could conveniently get something to eat without leaving the grounds. I noticed how polite the attendants were and how affordable the items seemed. It gave me a warm sense that the ministry cares not only for spiritual needs but also for people’s daily comfort.

Did you know there are medical facilities, residential estates, banks, schools, bottled water plant, plant house etc.. in canaanland? Well, I have just begun the journey, of course I can't cover all in just few hours. Canaanland is city in Lagos city. I will have to update this review in due times.

The highlight of my visit, without a doubt, was stepping inside the Faith Tabernacle. Words cannot fully describe the awe of entering that massive auditorium. To think that it can seat 50,000 worshippers at once is something you have to experience to truly understand. As I sat among thousands, listening to the choir sing and the message being preached, I felt a deep connection with God. It wasn’t just about being in a large hall, it was about being part of a living, breathing testimony of faith in action.

For those who couldn’t find space in the Tabernacle, the overflow tents were a blessing. I took a look at them, and I was amazed at how well arranged they were. Large screens and speakers ensured nobody missed a word of the service, because it was planted everywhere outside the auditorium, and the energy inside the tents and outside was just as vibrant as in the main auditorium. You could spot people seated outside and enjoying the message. The joy, the clapping, and the singing proved that worship goes beyond walls, it is about the heart.

Another detail that left an impression on me was the green nature surrounding the grounds. The beautifully cut lawns, the shade of trees, and the colorful flowers made the environment refreshing. It gave a balance to the massive buildings and created an atmosphere of peace and calmness. Even with thousands of people around, there was something serene about walking through the greenery.

Looking back at my experience, I realize that Canaanland is not just a worship center, it is truly a city of faith. From the car parks to the New Ark, from the stores to the Faith Tabernacle, the overflow tents, and the greenery, everything reflects order, vision, and intentional care. For me, being here again after moving to Lagos was more than just attending a service. It was the fulfillment of a heartfelt desire and a reminder of why I belong to the faith family.

Canaanland is a place where faith, community, and excellence meet. It is an environment that doesn’t just inspire worship but also shapes how you see growth, vision, and the power of unity. For me, it remains not only my church but also a symbol of what God can do when vision and faith come together.
