CS Sfaxien 0-0 Monastir - Last home match end with draw!

October 1st, 2025 at Taieb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax - this was special match because it was last game for CS Sfaxien at our stadium before we go play away matches. I was so excited to be there!

The stadium was almost full with around 22,000 fans all supporting our team. Everyone hope we can win this last home game but unfortunately match finish 0-0. No goals from both sides but the atmosphere was still amazing!

Monastir play very defensive and they protect their undefeated record this season. CS Sfaxien try many times to score but we couldn't break through their defense. Sometimes football is like this!

What happen during 90 minutes

First half was quiet:
Match start at 15:00 and both teams was playing careful. Not so many big chances but referee was busy:

• Sekkouhi F. get yellow card (39') after hard foul
• Amri Y. also see yellow card (45+1') right before halftime

We go to break with 0-0. I was drinking my tea and hoping second half will bring goals!

Second half bring all the action:
After break, things get more interesting with many changes and drama!

• Karoui N. come in for Trabelsi M. (46') to bring fresh energy
• Derbali R. booked with yellow (50')
• Dahmen A. also get yellow card (52')
• Masloui A. go out, Ben Ali M.A. come in (69')
• Ben Ali O. replace Ogbole E. (78')
• Baccar H. see yellow card (81')
• Big moment - Zeguel N.F. get red card! (89') - whole stadium explode! Monastir finish with 10 men
• Elmhidi M. also yellow carded (80')

Even with man advantage at the end, we still couldn't score. So frustrating but that's football sometimes!

My day at the stadium

Before match I eat good lunch near stadium to prepare for all the shouting and singing! Food was delicious and give me energy for afternoon.

Being there in stadium with all fans is something special. We sing together, we hope together, we feel disappointed together. This is why I love going to watch live matches - you feel everything more strong than watching TV at home!

after match I enjoy my favorite tea like always.

Where both teams stand in league now

After this draw, here is situation in Ligue Professionnelle 1:

CS Sfaxien stay in 6th position:

• Score 11 goals, concede 7 goals
• Total 13 points

We really need to win more! Too many draws is problem for us this season. Attack need to work better.

Monastir keep their 4th place:

• Played 9 matches
• Won 4, Draw 5, Lost 0
• Score 9 goals, concede only 4 goals
• Total 17 points

They still didn't lose any match! Very impressive from them. Their defense is very strong this year.

What I think about this match:

I'm little bit sad we couldn't win our last home game. CS Sfaxien have good defense this season but attack is big problem - we don't score enough goals! Maybe coach need to try something different or give chance to young players with fresh ideas.

But I still have faith in my team! Next matches we play away from home and I hope we can bring some victories. The team need to be more brave in attack and take more risks.

Being at Taieb Mhiri Stadium is always special for me. Even when we don't win, the feeling of supporting your team with thousands of other fans is amazing. This is what football about - passion, hope, and never give up!

I can't wait for next home match when we come back to our stadium. Until then, I will support CS Sfaxien wherever they play!
