Exploring Piazza Signoria and its surroundings
After enjoying a delicious breakfast in a nearby cafe I continue my pending tour from the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, I head towards Piazza Signoria, one of the most emblematic places in Florence where it is full of sculptures and the most famous is the one of Michelangelo that you should not miss without seeing it. The square is surrounded by some of the most impressive and important buildings of the city, such as the Town Hall Palace and the Basilica of San Lorenzo. As I showed you in the previous post today ends with some missing photos and most importantly the food.
As I walk towards the square, I can not help but feel a growing excitement to know in person cities that never in my life I thought I would get to live these experiences. The Tuscan architecture is impressive and its streets crowded with people everywhere do not let you enjoy the whole tour and very few locals is something that has caught my attention, with its columns and arcades that seem to have been designed by the gods as each of the sculptures in each square that seem to be an open-air museum in view of everyone. The sunlight reflects on the stones, creating a glowing effect that makes me feel as if I were living in a Botticelli painting or in ancient Rome for its arts and buildings of thousands of years.
Arriving at the square, I was surprised by the amount of people that inhabit it, too many people for my taste because I do not like crowds or people crowded everywhere you do not enjoy the place everything is crowded. There are street vendors, artists who paint the tourists, and people who just enjoy the atmosphere. There are also those who take advantage of the careless, you have to be aware of where you are walking and where you are. I am attracted to a seller of shirts from Naples, Italy type Naples. Also there are places like that very close to the new market that offer samples of their products. that will accompany me on my tour of the city.and also of souvenirs there is also a very specific part where they only work with original leather cool .
Walking through the streets of Florence After enjoying my chocolate snack I am dying to eat chocolate, I start walking through the streets of Florence. I head towards the Ponte Vecchio, an ancient bridge that crosses the Arno with stunning views of its arches and the river that passes through its waters just like the Guaire river in Caracas hahaha. The river is impressive, with its crystal clear water and its depth. that give the city some good views away from the center and the crowds in the most touristy places I stand on the bridge and watch the city from above. The view is breathtaking, with the dome of the Basilica of San Lorenzo shining on the horizon.it looks spectacular I imagine a dreamy sunset here.
As I walk, I am attracted by the architecture of the houses and buildings that surround the streets.a little wider than in other cities and with trees much cooler too Each one has its own history and personality, I think it's like life each city is different from the others is like I am different from you reading me with balconies and windows that seem to have been designed by the same architects who built the cathedral. something impressive and great thousands of years ago as I imagine the youngest building here must be about 500 years old. I stop in a designer store that reminds me of the galerias milan shopping mall.
Eating at a local After walking the streets of Florence, tremendous giant bread for about 10 euros , I head towards a local restaurant recommended by a friend who knows the city. The restaurant has 4 branches all over Florence for the large number of people who go to eat and are a delight and for all that brings is economical for street food prices .
While I eat standing up because there is no place to sit down to eat because of the large number of people who come here expressly to eat, there are many people here and I continue walking to enjoy my meal quietly.
I decide on a delicious pasta with cheese sauce, for dinner and to end the day I am served with a portion of freshly baked bread freshly baked and toasted a delight with cheese god what a delight. The food is amazing, with flavors that explode in my mouth as I tend to fully enjoy the food and the cheeses more . I feel like I am eating in a restaurant here. Yes, I sat down to enjoy my cheese pasta but with an affordable price and a cozy atmosphere.about 20 euros per plate .
In summary, my second part in Florence has been impressive.I hope you like it more than the first one since I will follow your recommendations I have enjoyed the architecture and history of the city, I have walked its streets and squares, filling me with stories and its very well known delicious gastronomy along with all its memories and I have eaten in a place that has taken me to a world of flavors and textures. So far its cuisine has been the best in my stay in Italy I can not deny Florence is a city that does not disappoint, not at all despite the people and how congested it is but you get used to or away from all this and I hope to return soon to continue telling much more of its history or cuisine greetings to all.
