That morning, after raining all night, I walked in the small garden behind the house. The fresh air with the aroma of wet soil made the atmosphere so calming. There, I saw rows of chili plants that were starting to bear fruit. The fresh green leaves glistened with the remaining morning dew, while the bright red fruit looked ready to be harvested.

I took my cellphone and captured the moment. Each plant has its own uniqueness—some were just starting to flower, some were already full of fruit ready to be harvested. It felt amazing to see how the efforts of planting since several months ago finally paid off.

After harvesting some chilies, I continued my journey to the rice fields not far from the house. Such a very beautiful view as the large area green swaying peacefully in the breeze. It appeared that a farmer was inspecting the rice seedlings to see that they were coming along well and that the insects were not devouring them. I talked to him and he told me harvest was about to begin. He showed on his face the joy that this harvest was expected to be very good this time.

Then after the rice fields, I went down to a little river that was not far. The water was evident as it flowed clean and cool in the heat of day. View of kids on the river bank, having a laugh & are small fishes into their hands. I tried to grab a few more photos of this basic yet joyful moment.

Back home, I was like to cook the food from the garden planting done earlier. I plucked off some fresh chilies, tomatoes and basil leaves to bring out a spicy and fragrant sambal. Together with the warm rice and river-caught fried fish, prepared lunch that day was special.

Days walking in nature, seeing the plants sprout and life on the farm showing me so many lessons of patience and difficult work with plants. Plants do not grow in a few hours, they need care, and plenty of love. Likewise in life, everything requires a process to develop and achieve its best results.
