The Effects of the Moon's Phases on Agriculture

in Steem-Agro23 days ago

The main lunar phases are:

The new moon is essential for preparing the soil, not for sowing, but for softening the growing area.

The primary lunar phases are: the waxing crescent moon, which is best for planting crops like vegetables that grow quickly. Something that is seen in this moon is the increase in sap flow.

Full moon: During this phase, plants tend to consume more water, which leads to fresher, juicier crops.

Waning moon: A curious fact about this moon that I have seen is that people tend to cut down trees during this moon, allowing them to regrow more easily, and the wood is less likely to crack or disintegrate, i.e., rot.

Some countries that use these methods are Spain, Mexico, Cuba, France, and Italy.

Some interesting facts are: the tides and soil moisture are connected. At this stage of the moon, I conducted an experiment: I went to a tree near my house and removed a small piece of bark. When I removed it, the wood looked wetter than usual, meaning the tides do have the same influence as this moon.

Well, to wrap things up, I'll tell you a few more things.

Look, some things I know are that when planting tomatoes, you should wait for the waning moon, as this moon ensures that fewer plants die, or, as I call them, seedlings.
