Freestyle Writing; Stress and the Need to Manage Our Health

I read through a post from one of us and it was captivating. This user wrote explicitly on why we fall sick with different reasons therein. Just as amazing and funny as this might sound, we have found ourselves in this situation whereby we slept and only woke up with failing health. But trust me, I have always attributed the human body organ to that of a mechanical system, which gives a better and clearer understanding of what happens to it.

If we could observe very well, a typical mechanical system that runs for regulated hours of the day suffers from wear and tear as well as the need for routine maintenance. This routine maintenance is likened to the medication we undergo to continue to keep on. Imagine a mechanical system that runs round the clock and without the needed maintenance. It's only a matter of time before it collapses. This is why the human system needs all the routine checks to be up and running.

I have been found in different scenarios where I wondered why all the sicky symptoms came from. But I think I have also suffered from stress lately. We have to be intentional about stress management. This is one overcomer of man's health. A gradual and silent killer that is commonly neglected with the required attention. I have commonly been a victim of stress lately, and dealing with this, I have a lot to bypass work schedules, which has also been difficult to deal with. I have wished I could take my leave days ASAP, but this isn't tenable at the moment.

Stress has been a source of health challenges for many. A situation where our system becomes visibly reactive to strain and fatigue. At this time, we feel this systematic discomfort that almost breaks us down instantly if we do not find rest. Most of the health challenges we present today drew its source from a prolonged stress burden buildup.

As common as rest may seem, it is one way to handle stress. Rest may be seen as an umbrella name that comes in diverse forms. We can rest by our usual nap and sleep pattern; leisure like sitting out with friends, having a discussion with loved ones, and indulging in diverse forms of exercise may also be considered as one. No one wonders why some of us do not joke with the little break time at work. This should be well utilized to enable one to ease off and refresh again before joining the second part of the day's work.

Many hypertensives have been urged to limit strenuous activities. This does not suggest they should quit their daily earning jobs but rather find a way to achieve a balance that prioritizes both effective health and workplace activities. Let's remember that a stressful system only triggers the adrenaline and cortisol that put the body at the edge. Its resultant effect that brings tension to the body is one reason anxiety and incidences of increased heart rates are activated.

If we must listen, stress should be avoided in its entirety or brought to a minimum level to help reduce incidences of long-term protracted ailments such as cardiovascular diseases. We have to be intentional about our health so as to promote longevity other than become our own enemy.

On many occasions, I have seen instances wherein stress struck my body down. I actually saw the early indications from my body system but ignored it. At some point my body said it was enough and broke down. At that point I remembered that I haven't been resting enough.

Stress is one topic we should create enough awareness of especially in a country like ours.
