Hello guys, welcome to another week of this SC contest that I've been following...;Explore your creativity with artistic drawing .
This week we're taught how to make portrait art.
After learning and adding new knowledge to what I knew before, I present my entry ;

Tools I use are?
HB pencil
2B pencil
Charcoal pencil
Sharpener
Eraser
A4 paper

I started by drawing a big rectangle, then I divided into portions just like @jesusnunez did.
I divided the rectangle into two equal halves and added a little width on both sides for the nose.
Horizontally , I marked out lines for the eyebrows, eyes, nose and mouth respectively.

Using those lines, I was able to place the face features in their right places.
I started with the eyebrows,then the eyes, the nose and the mouth.
I did this minimal sketches using the 2B pencil.

Next, I sketched out the hair, then I started shading using the #B pencil firsts, then the HB which is darker and the charcoal pencil came in last.
In order to make some places bright and detailed, I used the Eraser to clean out some darker lead. Then roll the 2B lightly over the spot.

I wasn't done with the hair yet , but I Just wanted to look into the eyes. Do, I started shading the eyebrow(both sides) then the eyeball(left)
I also shade the lips and detailed the teeth.

Here, I was almost done with the shading. But I needed to add a little touch on the face and give it a cheek( nice one😘). And also shade the plaited ponytail.....
Here , I only did a sketch of it...
But, in the next slide, I shaded the ponytail and also added the cheek.

I did the blurry background by shading the sides of the image completely with the charcoal pencil, then used and eraser to clean some portion in circular motion....
E no hard😂
