Hello Steemians
How was your day? Mine was so fun with the big event that happened today and that's what i want to share with us.

Civic Reception In honour of His Excellency

The people of Abiriba Ancient kingdom in Abia Nigeria invited the governor of Abia State His Excellency,Dr,Alex Chioma Otti in honour of his goods works today being democracy day.
This event took place at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba and it was an epoch making event as it's the first of it's kind.

Abiriba people took out quality time to prepare for this event for months before this date, announcement was made ahead of time for the people to get themselves ready as the will be no other event on this 12th of June 2025.
The announcement encouraged everyone from Abiriba to come out in mass to honour our Governor and the crowd was massive

Arrival of the Governor

The was a standing ovation to welcome His Excellency as he arrives,dancer and trumpeters came out from their seats and welcomed him.These was after his riders and some escorts had already announced him with their movements.
At this time the was so much shouting from the masses in celebration of him.The joy from the voices of the people was overwhelming because he is a man who keeps to his words.

Kings from Abiriba Ancient kingdom

The kings from all eleven villages in Abiriba were present at this event, immediately His Excellency stepped out from his car he went to them to exchange pleasantries.
From there,he greeted the masses and went to his tent, while in his tent everyone stood once again in honour of our country Nigeria with the national anthem
Then he proceeded to asking for a moment of silence for his late friend who was from Abiriba but unfortunately he departed four years ago by name late chief Ndukwo (a.k.a) Abbott.

While he took his seat the central king known as Enachioken addressed him on behave of Abiriba for his good works,trust worthy attitude and discipline nature.

Gift to the Governor

The people of Abiriba presented a brand new coastal bus to His Excellency as gift for coming to honour their invitation to him.While giving him the car key by the central king,he said to him that they really liked the goods works he's been doing for two years now and wished he takes a permanent seat in his office as a governor leadership and he was excited with the gift.
The central king told him about electricity challenge in Abiriba, he said he was already fixing it before now and promised him light in two months time

Age Grades

All the age grades in Abiriba attended this event,each with their uniform such as the one in this photo,they people are called Onwa Ena age grade meaning the moon of Abiriba
The Christian association was not left behind as they also had their own outfit.At the end of the event every group went to went to their respective venue for refreshment,that was after His Excellency left the stadium.It was really a busy day for we the people of Abiriba Ancient kingdom

I've actually learnt something from this post. Back then when we used to study current affairs, I would know the names of all the governors in the 36 states in Nigeria but now, it's different.
