Is Poverty Man-made or Life Happens?

Good day! My dear Steemian friends, when I go through the contest alerts, I find the contest organized by @bossj23. Without taking time, I decided to participate in that. Come and read the thoughts that I have shared with you.

Is poverty and not having money the same thing? Explain

In my opinion, being poor and not having money is not the same. Not having money is a temporary situation. But poverty is a long-term struggle for people who don't have basic requirements such as food, shelter, and education. People who don't have money can earn tomorrow, but poverty is a serious issue that will impact many generations. Most of the time, poverty is created by people. In addition, diseases like Corona and natural disasters might cause poverty.

Do you think poverty is man-made or situations in life make it happen? Mention 2 main causes of poverty in your country.

No, poverty is not a man-made one. But the reasons for poverty may not divide wealth equally among the people of that country or not having proper policies. Sometimes it may cause corruption.

I can mention here the lack of job opportunities and the high cost of living as the two main reasons for poverty in my country. People in rural areas struggle to find stable job opportunities. The cost of many essential things, such as food, transport, and medicine, is very high; this makes people have trouble living. The income of the people is not enough to survive. If the government wants to reduce poverty, it needs to create fair job opportunities and better economic policies.

Give a life experience to justify that poverty is either man-made or situations in life cause it.

Once, when I was traveling to Anuradhapura, I met a farmer who worked hard but struggled to live. He possesses land; unfortunately, he doesn't have money to spend on fertilizer and seeds. Even though the government had a program to distribute fertilizer and seeds to farmers as aid, due to corruption and mismanagement, those aids weren't delivered to the farmers correctly. Amidst all those difficulties, the crops he grew were bought by middlemen at unfair prices. Therefore, his kids could not gain a proper education, putting them in more and more poverty.

From this, we can understand that poverty is not just bad luck; it happens due to an unfair system. If the resources were divided among the people in the correct method, he could have escaped from poverty and made a good future.

Someone refuses to scam people to make a fortune and elevate himself from poverty. Will you say the person is the reason he's still poor, or will you say he's being content with the poverty? Justify your answer

The reason for poverty is not the person; he is not believing that. He had chosen honesty over crime, which is the correct thing he needs to do. Scams bring us money quickly, but those are wrong and unfair. Good people never hurt others to become wealthy. Even though poverty is not a crime, cheating is a crime.

Many people struggle with poverty, but that does not mean they need to cheat or steal from others. They too can work hard, learn new skills, and find better opportunities. Some may say that the person who rejects the scam is satisfied with the poverty. But that is not the reason; they may find the correct path. Even though such a person faces struggles now, honesty one day he may bring respect, peace, and true success.
