Steem Memory Game; I played it again

Introduction

Being in the spirit of gaming I wanted to go back and try the steem memory game, as the last time I played I didn't really look at it well, but going back now I really understood the working mechanism of the game.

From the name "memory", it deals with matching similar cards, so if the two cards you open are not matched, so have to keep it to memory, as the next card you open may or may not be the matching card. That's where the fun of the game lies, if you are someone that is not patient, you will be frustrated.

Now the game is calculated based on three key factors;

  • Time
  • Moves
  • Perfect match

The timing indicates how long it takes to match all the cards to their pair, whereas the moves calculates how many times you open a card to match it, now imagine you make up to 20 moves and the cards still do not match, you may likely get frustrated. This game needs maximum concentration, and as such you need to focus in entirety.
The perfect match is based on the twenty cards, so perfect matching the ten pairs gives a perfect match and a score of 500 points.

Now the game is subdivided into two modes;

  • The free mode and
  • The paid mode

The free mode; from "free" can be played without using any steem, you can still play, it is also an opportunity to test your memory retaining capacity, and also to improve your skills for the paid mode. Though in the free mode, you can also rank up on the leaderboard, now playing the free mode, if you can attain the Top 1 position, to win the daily challenge, then you can say you are ready for the paid, unlike the paid mode where you would lose steem if you cannot disposses the top ranking members from their spot, in the free mode, you lose nothing.

The paid mode, as I've earlier discussed, this is where the real competition of this game lie, though there is competition in the free mode, but it is not as fierce as the paid mode, since it involves an entry price of 1 steem to participate, you wouldn't want your asset to go to waste just like that, so you have to put in more effort to climb up the leaderboard to share in a prize pool.

So I tried out the free mode. And it seemed as the more I tried the more time I spent in matching the pair of cards, but that did not discourage me as I love challenges. If I didn't encounter these challenges, then I wouldn't have had an experience of what to expect if I was in the paid mode.
But then after a few trials I picked up and was able to get to top 6 on the leaderboard board

This game is for the whole family and the way it is programmed it is easy to play, no complex buttons or controls whatsoever.

But all the same, I like the game's feature in testing the brain's quick retaining ability. Thank you for reading.

@mr-peng @promisezella @calculuseyo1, let's see how you do playing the game.
