in Steem4Nigeria16 hours ago (edited)

Hello Steemians

I'm @sampson01, how is everyone doing, I hope you are doing great. Let me write this. I have been seeing the SLC's contest and I was wondering what was so special about it. But today I decided to give it a try. So in today's challenge it's all about movie snapshot|book to screen.

When I heard of this challenge, so many thoughts came into my mind and search all over a book or novel that was written and then acted as a movie and I remembered one that I read from a book and also watched as a movie.Let me appreciate @ruthjoe and @steem4Nigeria community for making this a contest a success. This contest is a good one. Let me begin.

When a book is acted into a movie, there's always a doubt if the movie will be acted according to how it was written in the book . But every now and then, a story comes along that exceeds expectations and shines on both page and screen. The movie Ferdinand is one such story. Based on how Munro Leaf the author of the novel, the film is exact as it was written, while still adding its own special touches that made it feel fresh and new.

For me, Ferdinand is a perfect example of how a book can be acted into a movie without losing its essence. It's a story that works on both page and screen, and one thing that I'm sure is it will continue to delight audiences for years to come.

Do you think, an idea is better written as a book/novel or acted out as a movie? And which do you prefer?

When it comes to storytelling, both books and movies have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Books provides a closer look into the characters' thoughts and feelings, while movies offer a visual and auditory experience that can bring stories to life in a different way.
But I can tell you that some people enjoy reading books because they can use their imagination to see the story, while others prefer watching movies because they can see the story display on screen.

In the case of Ferdinand, the book and movie both have their own strengths. The book provides a detailed and imaginative story that readers can see in their own way, while the movie brings the characters and story to life with stunning animation and voice acting. But I will prefer the idea of a movie.

Watch any movie adapted from a book or novel

I watched the movie Ferdinand based on the enduring kid's favorite, that is the movie continue to captivate and entertain children, even after many years. The Story of Ferdinand written by Munro Leaf and beautifully illustrated by Robert Lawson. This book was first published in 1936, it has been enchanting readers of all ages with its gentle tale of a bull named Ferdinand who is likely to sniff flowers than fighting in the bullring. Ferdinand's story is like a warm hug for your heart.

The movie is all about being kind, feeling others' feelings, and being your amazing self. This book has been loved by people of all ages for generations because it shows us that it's totally okay to be different, and that being yourself is the coolest thing ever . It is a reminder to mankind that everyone deserves kindness, compassion, and understanding, and that being true to yourself is the most important thing you can do .
The 2017 movie brings Ferdinand's adorable story to life in a way that is fun. With great animation and awesome voice actors, the film adds some new twists to the original story while keeping all the feelings and important messages intact. If you've loved Ferdinand for years or watching it for the first time, this movie is a total treat that will put a big smile on your face. It's perfect for anyone looking for a heartwarming adventure that is all about being your awesome self.

From the movie you have watched above, what can you say about the strength and weakness of the movie compared to the book/novel but if you have not read the book then tell us what captivated you the most in the movie and if you were to write a book on the movie how would that part be written to captivate the reader?

Below are the strength and weakness of the movie compared to the book.
Strengths of the Movie:
Expanded Story: The book is a short, simple story (about 800 words), while the movie details out Ferdinand’s journey with additional characters example Lupe, the quirky goat, and a richer narrative, including his escape from the bullfighting estate and adventures in Madrid.
This makes it more fun and interesting for everyone to enjoy.

Visual Appeal: It's like magic. The animation brings Ferdinand's adventures to life in a way that's super fun to watch.

Humor and Heart: The movie adds comedic sidekicks (e.g., the hedgehogs, Una, Dos, and Cuatro) and a heartfelt message about individuality, which resonates with both kids and adults.

Weaknesses Compared to the Book:
Loss of Simplicity: The book is short and sweet, with a simple message that never gets old. The movie has more parts, which can make it feel a bit confusing or too long

Tone Shift: The book is really calm and quiet, which is nice because it helps you think about Ferdinand's feelings. The movie, on the other hand, is more loud and funny, which some people might like better. But some fans of the book might think the movie doesn't feel the same because it's not as quiet and thoughtful.

Commercial Elements: The movie tries to be funny and cool for kids by adding modern jokes and references, but this might make it less special and timeless compared to the book. The book's story is simple and easy to understand, which makes it loved by people all around the world. The movie's attempts to be funny and modern might not be as enjoyable for everyone, especially grown-ups who liked the book when they were kids.

What Captivated Me Most in Ferdinand

The captivating part is how a big, strong bull who loves flowers and doesn't want to fight. What is amazing is how he stays true to himself, even when everyone thinks he should be tough and fierce. The most exciting part is when he is in the bullring, facing the matador and all the loud people. But instead of fighting, he chooses to be kind and gentle, and it's super exciting.

The movie is full of beautiful colors and fun characters, like the hedgehogs and Lupe the goat. They're all so lively and add to the excitement. The story is really emotional, and you'll feel happy when Ferdinand's kindness wins over the crowd. It's a great movie about being yourself and standing up for what you believe in, even if it's hard

If you were to write a book on the movie how would that part be written to captivate the reader?

If was to write it, this how I would have written it.
Imagine you're in a big stadium with lots of people cheering. There's a big, strong bull named Ferdinand, and he's supposed to fight someone. But Ferdinand doesn't want to fight. He wants to be kind and gentle instead.

Ferdinand sniffs the flowers in the ring, and the crowd starts to cheer for him! They're so happy that he's being brave and being himself. Ferdinand is showing everyone that it's okay to be different, and that kindness is super powerful.
The people in the stadium are so proud of Ferdinand for being true to himself. They're clapping and cheering for him, and Ferdinand feels happy and proud too. He's proving that being kind and gentle is the best way to be, even when things get tough.
